👑Eyelash extension prices. The most controversial topic in our industry. ⠀⠀
And the most commonly asked question: How much should I charge?
⠀⠀
After speaking to students, professionals, other educators, and traveling the world speaking with numerous extremely reputable industry leaders, I, as well as many others, have came to this conclusion for pricing. ⠀⠀
The reason of this post is not to put anyone down, but to spread awareness that there is no such thing as "one price for all".
⠀⠀
Some artists have more experience than others, some have more clients than others, some have trophies and multiple trainings under their belt, some have none. Some work is flawless, others need more practice. These are some of the things that play into role when it comes down to pricing. ⠀⠀
As a client, the price that your artist charges should tell you where they stand. If you feel they are too expensive, you might consider going to someone cheaper. If you feel their work is not perfect, don't expect more for cheap price.
⠀⠀
Lashes are a luxury service, they are not a necessity. We shouldn't shame artist that charge high because they have plenty of experience to back their work up. The same way we shouldn't bully the ones that are just starting out. ⠀⠀
There is no "one price fits all". Different levels of experience will target different clients. ⠀⠀
You have to understand this, both as an artist and as a customer. Respect each level. ⠀⠀
And if you are charging less than the beginners prices, you are lowering the industry. If you're not booking solid, extremely cheap will NOT bring in more clients. VALUE always brings in clients. Practice more, work on your retention, speed, coverage, and customer service experience! I guarantee you won't need to lowball yourself to attract clients.
⠀⠀
We have to stand together!
Respect the industry.
Spread awareness. ⠀⠀
