The CDC issued an alert about E. coli infections linked to organic carrots sold in various major grocery stores. Most children who get sick from exposure to E. coli will fully recover without treatment within 5 to 7 days, but some children, especially young kids, can get very sick and could need medical attention. Nutrition is so important. As a pediatrician I explore wellness from a granular perspective. Not just what food groups but details. We need our children to really learn healthy eating so they grow up healthy. Prevention is key. Optimistic that we can prevent disease: heart disease, obesity to mention a few. I counsel patients and families on lifestyle choices.
