Vitamin B Deficiency & Nerve Pain
⚡ Tingling, burning, numbness, or weird nerve pain? Check your B vitamins.
Vitamin B deficiencies — especially B1, B6, B9, and B12 — can show up as:
• Numbness + tingling in hands/feet
• Burning nerve pain
• Muscle weakness
• Fatigue that feels “deep”
• Dizziness or balance issues
• Anxiety + irritability
• Poor wound healing
Why?
Because B vitamins are essential for nerve conduction and repair. When levels drop, nerves literally misfire.
Who’s at risk?
– People with gut issues (SIBO, IBS, low stomach acid)
– Vegans/vegetarians
– People under chronic stress
– Anyone on acid blockers or metformin
– Postpartum individuals
– Those with autoimmune or inflammatory conditions
Not sure? Ask your doctor for tests:
• Serum B12
• MMA (methylmalonic acid — more accurate)
• Homocysteine
• RBC folate
• B6 levels
• Intrinsic factor + parietal cell antibodies if malabsorption is suspected
The beautiful thing: once corrected, nerve symptoms often improve dramatically ❤️🩹
Your body whispers before it screams — don’t ignore those whispers.
