🏇🌹 Kentucky Derby Day at Reed City Fields! 🌹🏇

We brought the excitement of the Kentucky Derby right into our home and let’s just say, our residents & staff understood the assignment!

From wheelchair horse races (yes, they were as competitive as they sound 😄) to beautifully decorated Derby hats, the creativity and spirit were unmatched. Each “horse” even had its own name, and we had mini race games that kept everyone cheering and laughing all afternoon!

The highlight? Gathering together to watch the real race while reminiscing, snacking, and soaking in all the excitement. Moments like these remind us that it’s not just about the activity, it’s about the joy, connection, and memories we create together. ❤️

We had lots of laughter, a little friendly competition, and a whole lot of fun.

We had an amazing turnout for our Annual Easter Egg Hunt, and we couldn’t have asked for better Weather for this time of year! ☀️ The Easter Bunny, children, smiles, and laughter made it truly special for our residents.

From families joining us to the excitement of the kids finding eggs, it was such a joy to see our community come together and create wonderful memories. 💛

We’re excited to invite our community to our Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Friday, April 3rd from 5PM–7PM!

We know this is a little non-traditional for us to host on a Friday evening, but we wanted to be mindful of all the wonderful Easter events happening in our community. Today was full of smiles, laughter, and a little bit of Irish cheer! 💚 Our residents enjoyed delicious shamrock shakes after lunch compliments of Courtney, bringing a sweet and festive touch to the day.

There’s nothing better than sharing special moments like these together, celebrating, creating memories, and of course, enjoying a tasty treat! ☘️

Our residents have been staying busy preparing for St. Patrick’s Day by tie-dyeing festive shirts that we can’t wait to wear next week! ☘️ We also spent time getting creative painting beautiful angels and decorative door hangers, each one as unique as the resident who made it.

Of course, we also enjoyed some relaxing time together watching movies and ending the week with our Sunday church service, which is always a meaningful time for reflection and fellowship.

Weeks like this remind us how special it is to share laughter, creativity, and faith together. Thank you to our wonderful residents and staff who make Reed City Fields feel like home every day. 💚

We are so excited to share that Amber, one of our incredible care aides here at Reed City Fields, and Trent welcomed their beautiful baby boy! 💙

Amber has been part of our team for the past couple of years and has shown so much compassion, dedication, and heart to our residents and their families. Now she gets to pour that same love into her sweet little guy.

Please join us in congratulating her and Trent and wishing them all the snuggles, rest, and joy as they begin this beautiful new chapter of parenthood! 💙👶

🌟 Meet the Staff: Tracey 🌟

📍 Position: Shower Aide/Housekeeping/Care Aide
⏳ Time with us: 1 month shy of SEVEN YEARS!
❤️ Favorite thing about the job: I love hearing residents life lived stories, warms my heart.
🎉 Fun fact: Used to ride and own my own Harley motorcycle. I blast my music as loud as I can while doing yard or housework. Luckily I live in the woods so as not to disturb my neighbors.
