Marcy Brey was nominated for a Going Beyond the Expected Award by Marina Kobylski, RN in July.

"Marcy was caring for an end of life patient on Med/Surg that had no appetite and poor intake throughout his stay. He saw the farmer's market outside his window and mentioned to her how much he loves the cinnamon bread from one of the vendors. Without hesitation, Marcy went out of her way to buy a loaf of bread and gave a slice of bread to this patient. This is just one example of the many ways that Marcy continues to go above and beyond to provide the best care for our patients here at RAMC."

Hospitalists are a group of attending physicians and advanced practice providers primarily dedicated to providing care to patients admitted to the inpatient medicine services in a hospital. They are experts in the care of acutely ill medical inpatients. They work with the inpatient nursing staff, social workers, and other hospital staff to create an environment of seamless care for our hospitalized patients. - definition provided by the Medical College of Wisconsin.
