This week's RAMC Provider Spotlight shines on Dr. Anne Harris!

Anne Harris, MD | Family Medicine, Obstetrics

"I chose family practice because I enjoy being a part of my patient's lives and the community. From delivering babies to helping care for nursing home patients, I participate in full spectrum care. That is why I am so happy to be able to practice medicine in the town where I grew up (some of you may know me as Anne Koontz). A lifelong pattern of healthy choices can really impact a person's life. I also understand that having an illness can be scary. That is why I like to take the time to counsel people on healthy living and make sure I answer all the questions I can so that patients understand what happened during their visits and are comfortable with the plan of care."

Cassie Nachreiner, a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department at RAMC, was recently recognized for Going Beyond the Expected. She was nominated by Callissa Moll.

Callissa wrote - “A newly postpartum mother came into the ER and ended up needing a surgery during the night. This mother was already having breastfeeding issues and milk supply struggles prior to her admission to the hospital. Cassie selflessly offered to donate some of her breastmilk to this mother/her baby so that dad could feed their baby while the patient was in surgery. Cassie, thank you for your incredible act of kindness and selflessness. I'm sure this patient will never forget the kindness you showed her and her family that night. Thank you for helping out a new mother and her family during a difficult time. You are appreciated!”

Thank you for all you do, Cassie!

I take a holistic approach by blending patient-centered care, evidence based practice and clinical experience to meet a broad range of medical and psychological needs. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family showing livestock, participating in sporting events and cheering on the Badgers.”
