We need your help to fill all of the remaining appointments for our upcoming Blood Drive! Did we mention that the American Red Cross is providing $20 gift cards for those who donate this month?!

The Blood Drive will take place in the Governmental Center, located at 371 NC 65, Reidsville, NC. The whole process only takes about 30 minutes, and you will be helping those who are in greatest need.

𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐂𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐲 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, (𝟑𝟑𝟔) 𝟑𝟒𝟐-𝟖𝟑𝟕𝟒.

According to the American Red Cross:
• Hospitals, which are strained by the worst flu season in nearly 20 years, are now also being forced to triage critical blood products. High flu activity in nearly every state may be sidelining donors, slowing efforts to rebuild the Red Cross national blood supply.

• During a blood shortage, doctors may face difficult choices about which patients receive blood transfusions and who will need to wait.

• Intense winter weather and freezing temperatures have delayed or cancelled blood drives, forcing vital units of blood to go uncollected.

• In December alone, about 400 blood drives were impacted due to extreme winter weather — more than three times the number of blood drives impacted during the same time the previous year.

Please consider donating! Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are encouraged and help you to stick to a time that works best for you. Thank you for your years of support as our drives have saved nearly 15,000 lives!

Our Fresh Mobile Market food distributions will be at 6 locations this week. We cannot run our markets without our incredibly dedicated volunteers. So many of our volunteers work with us on a regular basis and have become part of the Out of the Garden Project family but we’re always looking for new helping hands!
