Piedmont Occupational and Urgent Care

Piedmont Occupational and Urgent Care We provide treatment for minor illnesses and injuries. Physical exams for sports, DOT, school, camp and work are also offered.

Our goals are to get patients seen on the same day they call, and also to keep waiting times to a minimum. We try to make our services cost-effective, and keep waiting times to a minimum.

One of our areas of specialization is injury treatment. Because we have decades of experience and training in the treatment of work injuries, we are also well-equipped to treat the entire range of minor injuries-- cuts or lacerations; foreign bodies, eye injuries, burns, sprains, back pain, neck pain and other types of injuries that do not require going to the emergency room.

We have x-ray on-site. And we strive always to maintain staffing so that x-rays can be performed if needed.

Having these capabilities helps people avoid having to go to the emergency room. And remember that other urgent care facilities are not always prepared to handle these situations.

One of our areas of focus is commercial driver exams or "DOT Physicals". We have been certified by the US DOT to do these exams since it began requiring certification more than a decade ago.

We are also certified by the FAA to do physical exams for airline pilots and others who fly airplanes of various types.

We continue to see various flu, upper respiratory and gastrointestinal illnesses, often caused by viruses. We are here for you if you need us.

With possible upcoming winter weather, please know that we do not close our office on days when there is snow or ice. We think it is very important to be here when we represent ourselves as being open.

We are also open on President's Day-- Monday, February 17.

Spring sports begin soon. Our office is able to work in sports physicals as needed.

We are happy to help parents and teams get these exams done so that young student athletes can participate!

Excellent work by the national independent journalist Naomi Wolf reveals that the federal government and some of the drug companies did not disclose to doctors and hospitals and pharmacies the risks associated with the Covid vaccines. These risks have outweighed the benefits associated with these vaccines for a long time. We do not recommend them for anyone:

In an interview with The Defender, Naomi Wolf, journalist and CEO of Daily Clout, detailed the serious vaccine-related injuries that Pfizer and the FDA knew of by early 2021, but tried to hide from the public.

During this respiratory season since last month, the vast majority of illnesses have NOT been the flu.

However, last week, we had a couple of positive flu tests for the first time in several months. Does this mean there will be a lot of flu in Rockingham County and nearby? It's hard to know. But the true flu season often begins in late January or February.

Fortunately, the flu and its complications can be treated in various ways, especially if treatment is initiated early.

We wish you and your family a blessed Christmas and a happy new year!

As we head into winter, "flu season" will be here. There has already been an increase in upper respiratory illnesses in certain parts of the country.

We focus on evaluating and treating these illnesses. In fact, during the Covid pandemic, patients came to our office from up to four hours away to be treated because we offered them aggressive, early treatment. We saw patients from the coast, from Charlotte, from the Triangle metro area and even the mountains.

We will be happy to assist you and your family in the event illness strikes.

We often hear from patients and others that some of the other urgent care centers in Reidsville and Rockingham County "don't have a provider" on any given day. We can assure everyone that is an extremely rare occurrence in our office. We do everything we can to be there for you.

Winter sports are cranking up-- basketball, wrestling, etc. We are more than happy to perform sports physicals for student athletes!

10/14/2024

We are just finishing up our 27th year of service to Reidsville and Rockingham County. But we also see patients from northeastern Guilford County, northwestern Alamance County, Caswell County and even southside Virginia.

We appreciate these communities' support over the years.

We continue to see patients for minor illnesses and injuries on an urgent basis. We also do physicals for DOT, school, sports, work, day care, adoption, foster care, etc.
