⚠️ Water Outage Update: Most water services have returned to normal at Annie Penn Hospital. This means:

• The one-visitor per patient restriction has been lifted.
• Hospital food services are closed while we wait for the boil water advisory to be lifted by the City of Reidsville.
• Meals for patients are being brought in from other Cone Health hospitals.
• Food trucks will be at the hospital for the convenience of visitors and staff.

💧 Should the City of Reidsville lift the boil water advisory this evening, nearly all surgeries and procedures will begin as normal tomorrow (May 15). People with surgeries scheduled for today have been notified.

⚠️ Water Outage Update: Due to the limited number of working bathrooms and handwashing stations, we ask that only one person at a time come to Annie Penn Hospital to visit patients. Of course, special consideration will be given to families with loved ones near the end of life.

Annie Penn Hospital, like the rest of Reidsville, is still experiencing the impact of the water outage.

Most care is continuing as usual under the hospital’s emergency operations plan. We have brought in portable water supplies, prepared meals for patients and 500 lbs. of ice. Portable hand washing stations are on the way and food trucks will be onsite for staff.

Surgeries and procedures requiring water have been postponed. Those with appointments for care at Annie Penn Hospital, Penn Nursing Center and nearby facilities are asked to call ahead and confirm the appointment.

The Annie Penn Hospital Emergency department and Cone Health Urgent Care at Reidsville are open. Patients can also opt for a virtual visit through their MyChart account.

At approximately 4:15 this morning, Annie Penn Hospital, like the rest of Reidsville, experienced a water outage.

The hospital is using emergency water supplies, and more is on the way. Surgeries have been postponed and patients with appointments are being sent to other Cone Health facilities with access to water.

The emergency room remains open, and people should continue calling 9-1-1 in the event of an emergency. If someone has an appointment at Annie Penn Hospital or nearby Cone Health facilities, they are asked to call and confirm it.

More information will be given as soon as it becomes available.
