We feel core engagement in Cat pose normally.
And when you take longer exhalation, then consciously move down ribcage toward to the pelvis, you can feel storing engagement to the core.

Spending every day sitting and staring at computers and smartphones can weaken your chest muscles. This weakness often leads to shallow breathing, poor posture, and an unbalanced nervous system.

While the plank is a full-body exercise, engaging your chest muscles correctly is essential. Proper engagement reduces strain on your shoulders and lower back, allowing you to hold the pose longer and build more strength.
