Sometimes when you feel powerless and at a loss about what to do about the constant harm happening in your world something good to do is actively be kind as a way of trying to combat it. My friend is giving people such an opportunity by gathering valentine cards to give to residents at a geriatric care facility. Here are the cards Iโ€™m sending to help spread love and joy. I encourage you to participate in this merriment mission, too.

My morning hike was very quiet and peaceful since few people enjoy being outside in the cold and snowy weather. The dusting of snow this weekend was enough to make things pretty while being little enough that it isnโ€™t too messy.

A very rainy day meant trading my usual weekend hiking for a walk at a mall followed by lunch at the very vegan friendly . This was my first time trying their Just eggs Benedict entree and a horchata oatmilk latte, and it was delicious! The sauce and tempeh bacon on the entree were so good! Perfect comfort food on a rainy day.

Hi,
Happy new year! May it be filled with much health, joy, and connection.
Please join me and/or share this information with anyone you think might be interested in attending my upcoming January vision board workshop. It will be held online on Sunday 1/25/26, from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm (ET). Things to note:
-We focus more on intentions and desired feelings more than resolutions, which means that we focus on feeling good enough already and on practicing self-compassion.
-The workshop goes through a process of letting go of what doesn't serve us, calling in what we desire, and focusing on gratitude and what's already working well for us.
***
Winter can be a frustrating time, with cold weather and darkness bringing discomfort. However, the slower pace of winter allows us to take time to rest and reflect. The start of the new year is an ideal time to leave undesired things in the past and focus on the opportunities that the new year brings. This workshop will help you identify, clarify, and take action toward changes that you would like to make. In this workshop you will:
-Use creative activities to help with self-expression, self-care, clarity, and joy
-Let go of unwanted things
-Create a vision board, which is a collage of images and words of your choosing that helps you focus on your goals and provides you with inspiration to work towards them (*you will receive information about how to make one in advance of the workshop since it will be online*)
-Leave feeling empowered to have the future you want.

Although it was another cold and icy day, getting in an hour long hike felt good. Having mostly solitude in the woods of the park helped ease some personal and collective grief Iโ€™m feeling.

Although it was extremely cold and overcast this morning, I enjoyed a walk in a park amongst trees and ponds. One plus side of cold winter days is parks tend to be very uncrowded and quiet.

Iโ€™m back to work for a light week of seeing clients after getting much needed rest, time outdoors, and connection with loved ones for most of last week. This serene lake and mountain scene was my view for a few days at a lakeside cottage rental. Iโ€™m super thankful to have been able to have such a nice getaway with my partner. I hope you have been able to have moments of beauty, rest, joy, and connection this holiday season.
