School is almost starting and I want to ask you a favor… Sit with your child for 5 minutes and explain that there’s never a reason to make fun of someone for their height, their weight, their skin tone, their home life or the things they enjoy.

Explain there’s nothing wrong with wearing the same shoes every day.
Explain to them that a used backpack carries the same dreams as a new one.
Teach them not to exclude anyone for "being different"
Explain to them that teasing hurts and that school is for going to LEARN, NOT to compete or spread negativity.

Remind them some kids don’t go home to loving families so it’s important to be kind. It all starts at home!

A fisherman spotted her just east of the Faralon Islands (outside the Golden Gate) and radioed for help. Within a few hours, the rescue team arrived and determined that she was so badly off, the only way to save her was to dive in and untangle her…. a very dangerous proposition. One slap of the tail could kill a rescuer.
They worked for hours with curved knives and eventually freed her. When she was free, the divers say she swam in what seemed like joyous circles. She then came back to each and every diver, one at a time, nudged them, and pushed gently, thanking them. Some said it was the most incredibly beautiful experience of their lives.
The guy who cut the rope out of her mouth says her eye was following him the whole time, and he will never be the same.
May you be so fortunate to be surrounded by people who will help you get untangled from the things that are binding you.
And, may you always know the joy of giving and receiving gratitude 🙏

Okay I admit to get tears.

Most healthcare people I know see only people who need their help to get better, recover, or die with dignity.

This child understands what God intended.

Late last night Myles went on & on about how he had to be twins with a boy in his class for Twin Day because they look exactly the same- same eyes, same hair.

He was adamant that they were identical.
So after the kids went to bed I headed to Walmart at 9pm to get matching outfits.

Their teacher sent me this picture today.
My heart melted.

Obviously two very different children, but Myles didn’t see that.

Wouldn’t the world be such a better place if we could all view it through the eyes of a couple 5yr olds♥️

For more than 60 years, Sunbeam bread, a product of the Quality Bakers of America, has changed its marketing just after Thanksgiving to add an image of Little Miss Sunbeam bowing her head in prayer. The caption, a quote from Jesus Christ in Matthew 4:4, reads “Not By Bread Alone.” This special packaging marks the company’s long tradition of reflecting on the holidays. I just absolutely think this is so refreshing and beautiful.
