Please only call 911 for emergencies only

Phone calls to the post and 911 asking about why there's a backup are tying up phone lines for REAL EMERGENCIES. Only call the post IF you have an emergency. Why traffic is backed up is not an emergency. Indiana Department of Transportation: Northwest is clearing the roads as fast as possible. We understand your frustration and ask for your patience. We've been asking drivers NOT to drive on 65 since yesterday.

Update: as of 9:25 a.m., continue to avoid traveling northbound on interstate 65. Traffic is stopped at the 190 mile marker.

White County - Traffic is not moving northbound near the near the 188 mile marker. Troopers are working to clear the area. Avoid going northbound on interstate 65 in that area.

Road Closure! I-65 NB 205 mm (Re*****on) closed! Traffic will be diverted onto US231 for the next several hours. Multiple jackknifed semis and traffic is at a standstill for miles. Please AVOID I-65 and reconsider travel this evening.
