Most people think sleep starts when your head hits the pillow… but it actually starts hours before.
These simple habits are not just “nice ideas.”
They are signals to your nervous system that it is safe to downshift.
When the lights stay bright, screens stay on, and your mind stays busy, your body stays in “go mode.”
That means lighter sleep, more wake-ups, and less true recovery.
Small changes like this create big shifts in:
✔️ Sleep quality
✔️ Hormone balance
✔️ Nervous system regulation
✔️ Next-day energy
If you are doing everything right but still waking up tired, this is where I would start.
Which one of these are you already doing… and which one needs a little work? 👇
