Last week, representatives from Nevada Urban Indians, Inc. had the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. to advocate for the communities we proudly serve every day here in Northern Nevada.

During our visit, we met with members of Congress and their staff to discuss the impact our programs continue to make throughout the region and the growing need for continued support and funding for Native health, wellness, prevention, and community services.

We were honored to share the stories of the individuals and families who rely on our services from medical and behavioral health care to youth programs, victim services, substance abuse support, diabetes prevention, and Native Connections initiatives. These conversations are important to ensure that the voices of our community are heard at the national level and that organizations like ours can continue expanding critical services for underserved populations.

Every day, we see firsthand the positive impact these programs have on our community, and we remain committed to fighting for the resources needed to keep making a difference.

Thank you to everyone who supports our mission and believes in the work being done at NUI. Together, we continue building healthier futures for Native families and all underserved communities across Nevada. ❤️
