Did you know that Thrive’s Greenhouse was designed by Nevada’s first African American architect?

This Black History Month, we’re honoring trailblazing architect Paul Revere Williams, whose legacy can still be seen throughout Reno and beyond.

Williams, one of the most influential Black architects of the 20th century, designed the building that will soon house our residential treatment center in Reno. His work continues to stand as a symbol of resilience, innovation, and excellence.

As we prepare to open our doors, we’re proud to carry forward his legacy by creating a space rooted in healing, inclusion, and compassionate care.

Last week, our team members headed down to Las Vegas to exhibit at the 31st Annual National Psychopharmacology Conference.

We loved connecting with professionals from across the country over our shared passion for mental health. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to talk mental health, learn more about Thrive, or make a tea bag, we had an incredible time!

Contrary to popular belief, weight does not determine your health! At Thrive, we embrace the Health at Every Size approach, which teaches us that health is not determined by body size. HAES encourages us to focus on healthy behaviors regardless of weight, emphasizing body acceptance, intuitive eating, and mindful movement.

This Eating Disorders Awareness Month, we’re inviting you to learn the facts about eating disorders — and challenge common myths.

The field of eating disorders is riddled with misinformation, leading to confusion, stigma, shame, and barriers to seeking and receiving care. By promoting the facts about eating disorders, we increase the odds of everyone receiving the care that they need.

Happy Black History Month!

Communities of color have historically faced significant barriers to accessing healthcare, particularly when it comes to mental health support. Providing meaningful care for the Black community requires culturally competent treatment, greater awareness of the impact of harmful and stigmatizing language, and ongoing education about the unique challenges many individuals face when seeking mental health services.

Thrive therapist Jaliyah shared it best: “I’m speaking about this… so that anyone who has felt unseen or unsure can find their voice again and seek the help they so deeply deserve.”

People of color deserve compassionate, high-quality care every day of the year. This Black History Month, we’re honoring this message by continuing our commitment to providing equitable, inclusive mental health care.

What an impactful few days of learning and connection!! Our team dove into CBT for pediatric OCD, with a strong focus on partnering with families as a vital part of treatment—because at Thrive, we know that meaningful, lasting progress happens when families are supported and involved every step of the way. We also explored assessment, treatment outcomes, exposure-based care, and hands-on case conceptualization through role-play. The training was led by Dr. Eric Storch, Ph.D., a valued member of our Clinical Advisory Board.
