Safely dispose of unused or expired medications the right way:
✅ Accepted: Pills, capsules, patches, and tightly sealed liquids
❌ Not Accepted: Sharps, inhalers, or illegal substances

We have about 150 vouchers left to give out and only a couple weeks left to visit the pumpkin patch. Vanessa will be in the lobby of the Reno-Sparks Tribal Health Center on Thursday, October 23rd for you to get vouchers.

We want to make sure that everyone understands that we are asking that you get your Influenza vaccination, but not requiring it to receive a voucher for the pumpkin patch. There is a declination form for those that choose to not be vaccinated. There are a limited number of zombie paintball vouchers for our teens if they would rather go to that instead of the pumpkin patch. Please reach out to Vanessa for any further questions.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
The Reno-Sparks Indian Colony Police Department is participating in the Pink Patch Project, a nationwide public awareness campaign dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer and supporting life-saving research and treatment.
The Pink Patch Project began in 2013 when the Seal Beach, California, Police Department wore pink patches during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In 2015, the Irwindale Police Department expanded the effort by selling their patches to the community, raising over $20,000 for the City of Hope. By 2016, the project gained momentum with the involvement of the Los Angeles Police Chiefs Association and 25 other agencies. Today, it includes hundreds of law enforcement, fire, EMS, and federal agencies worldwide.

✨INDIAN COUNTRY’S NEWEST ATTORNEY!✨ Congratulations to Makai Zuniga, the first Citizen of the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony to pass any state bar examination ever from the William S. Boyd School of Law, but now the very first to pass the Nevada Bar Exam from Boyd Law! 🎉⚖️ This is a history-making moment for Makai, for RSIC, and for all of Indian Country. A win for one is truly a win for us all — let’s celebrate this massive accomplishment together! 🪶❤️
