April is Stress Awareness Month, where we highlight the importance of managing physical and emotional stress through self-care, exercise and seeking support when needed. One way we promote this for ourselves is through the calming spaces in our facility, such as this staff break room. A reminder to slow down, fill your cup and stay calm and centered.

Each April, we recognize the , honoring the strength and resilience of children and families in the Armed Forces. Military families navigate unique challenges, including frequent moves and time apart from loved ones on active duty, yet they continue to show remarkable courage and perseverance.

We are committed to supporting the mental well‑being of children and teens from military families and honoring the sacrifices their families make to keep our country safe. Thank you to all who serve—and to the families who serve alongside them.

It's slime time! Last month, our science teacher, Mrs. Lindsey, and our education coordinator, Ms. Jess, teamed up to bring one of the favorite activities of our pediatrics department to the K-6 classroom - slime! Both teachers have backgrounds in science and often take the opportunity to share their love of all things chemistry and biology with our youngest patients.
