💡Tension, Angle, Pressure: Here’s why they matter:
1️⃣ Tension: Creating tension while bracing the skin creates a smooth, taut surface —this gives you greater control and stability with each stroke. Proper tension helps prevent skipping, tugging, or accidental nicks. It also allows the blade to glide effortlessly, making the treatment more comfortable for your client.
2️⃣ Angle: Maintaining a consistent 45° angle is key. This angle allows the blade to skim the surface of the skin, gently lifting dead skin cells and vellus hair without tugging or scraping. Too shallow or too steep? You risk irritation, reduced exfoliation, or even injury. Precision matters.
3️⃣ Pressure: The right pressure ensures you’re exfoliating effectively—without compromising the skin barrier. Light, steady pressure gives the best results: it removes buildup while avoiding over-exfoliation or redness. Heavy-handed techniques do more harm than good, so less is often more here.
✨ When these three work in harmony, you deliver a smoother, safer, and more effective dermaplaning experience every time.
