Dr. Kudaravalli was born and raised in India, where he completed his medical education before moving to the United States in 2012 to pursue further training. In 2014, he matched into an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Nevada, Reno, where he later served an additional year as Chief Resident.
From his early days in medical school, Dr. Kudaravalli was captivated by the digestive system—its intricate functions and its interactions with the rest of the body. This fascination led him to pursue a career in gastroenterology. During his residency, he had the privilege of being mentored by Dr. Sam Nourani, whose guidance not only shaped his professional development but also deepened his appreciation for patient-centered care. To further enhance his expertise, Dr. Kudaravalli spent three years at the University of Kentucky conducting gastroenterology research while also working as a hospitalist before securing a fellowship position.
In 2024, Dr. Kudaravalli completed his Gastroenterology fellowship at Augusta University. He then pursued an advanced fellowship focused on ERCP and EUS in Denver, training under the renowned Dr. Douglas Adler.
While his mentors and colleagues have played a vital role in his career, Dr. Kudaravalli believes his greatest teachers have been his patients. By listening to their stories, understanding their concerns, and accompanying them through their health journeys, he has learned invaluable lessons—not just about medicine, but also about resilience, empathy, and the importance of human connection. These experiences have shaped him into a more thoughtful, compassionate, and perceptive physician.
Dr. Kudaravalli has now returned to Reno with his wife, son, and two beloved Shih Tzus to continue his medical career. He is eager to serve the community with a patient-first approach, offering not only his medical expertise but also a commitment to learning from each individual he cares for.
