Jardine Alquero is a board-certified nurse practitioner with a passion for helping patients stay healthy and prevent illness before it starts. With years of critical care experience, Jardine saw firsthand how many serious conditions could be avoided through early care and education, which inspired a focus on prevention and wellness.

Jardine has a special interest in gastroenterology, influenced by personal experiences with patients and family members facing GI challenges. This specialty is close to heart and allows Jardine to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives.

Jardine’s approach is simple: patient-centered care, built on teamwork. Believing that “a way to a man’s heart is through the stomach,” Jardine helps patients understand how caring for their digestive system supports overall health of the body and mind.

Outside the clinic, Jardine enjoys traveling with her spouse and their dogs, exploring new cultures, and learning new languages.

Career highlights include graduating cm laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, working abroad as an ICU nurse in Muscat, Oman, and being nominated for the Northern Nevada Nurses of Achievement – Critical Care Award (2025). Jardine is also an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

🛑 Check Yo Self 🛑
Your gut’s been trying to tell you something… are you listening?

Colon cancer doesn’t always shout — sometimes it whispers:
⚠️ Blood in your stool
⚠️ Changes in stool shape or color
⚠️ Persistent diarrhea or constipation
⚠️ Feeling wiped out for no reason
⚠️ Unexplained weight loss
⚠️ Ongoing cramps, bloating, or low back pain

👉 These symptoms aren’t always cancer — but they’re never something to ignore.
📅 If you’re 45+ or have a family history, schedule that screening.

💙 Early detection = better protection.

Dr. Kudaravalli was born and raised in India, where he completed his medical education before moving to the United States in 2012 to pursue further training. In 2014, he matched into an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Nevada, Reno, where he later served an additional year as Chief Resident.

From his early days in medical school, Dr. Kudaravalli was captivated by the digestive system—its intricate functions and its interactions with the rest of the body. This fascination led him to pursue a career in gastroenterology. During his residency, he had the privilege of being mentored by Dr. Sam Nourani, whose guidance not only shaped his professional development but also deepened his appreciation for patient-centered care. To further enhance his expertise, Dr. Kudaravalli spent three years at the University of Kentucky conducting gastroenterology research while also working as a hospitalist before securing a fellowship position.

In 2024, Dr. Kudaravalli completed his Gastroenterology fellowship at Augusta University. He then pursued an advanced fellowship focused on ERCP and EUS in Denver, training under the renowned Dr. Douglas Adler.
While his mentors and colleagues have played a vital role in his career, Dr. Kudaravalli believes his greatest teachers have been his patients. By listening to their stories, understanding their concerns, and accompanying them through their health journeys, he has learned invaluable lessons—not just about medicine, but also about resilience, empathy, and the importance of human connection. These experiences have shaped him into a more thoughtful, compassionate, and perceptive physician.

Dr. Kudaravalli has now returned to Reno with his wife, son, and two beloved Shih Tzus to continue his medical career. He is eager to serve the community with a patient-first approach, offering not only his medical expertise but also a commitment to learning from each individual he cares for.

Help us welcome Dr Kudaravalli to Digestive Health!

Gut feeling off? It might be more important than you think!

We often take gut health for granted — until something feels “off.” But your digestive health impacts more than just your stomach. It can affect your immune system, mood, energy levels, and even your sleep.

At Digestive Health Associates, we help patients get to the root of their symptoms. If you’re experiencing gut issues, call us at (775) 829-7600 to schedule an appointment with one of our experienced providers.

Here are 5 simple ways to support a healthy gut:

1️⃣ Eat more fiber – Found in foods like berries, legumes, leafy greens, sweet potatoes, and whole grains. Fiber feeds the good bacteria and keeps your gut running smoothly.

2️⃣ Stay hydrated – Water supports digestion, nutrient absorption, and helps prevent constipation. Aim for 4–6 cups per day (more if you're active).

3️⃣ Manage stress – Stress affects your gut more than you think. Deep breathing, meditation, or even short walks can help calm your system.

4️⃣ Prioritize sleep – A healthy gut can promote better sleep — and vice versa. Aim for 7–9 hours a night.

5️⃣ Move your body – Regular exercise (even walking!) improves gut microbiome diversity and function.

🌿 Your gut microbiome is home to trillions of microorganisms that influence your whole-body health — take care of them, and they’ll take care of you.

📞 Call (775) 829-7600 to make your gut health a priority today.

Lauren Rametta is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with a strong belief in the power of preventative care. After years of experience in hospital settings, she saw firsthand the gaps in follow-up care that patients often faced after discharge. This inspired her to become part of the solution—providing accessible, high-quality care that helps patients stay healthy and out of the hospital.

Lauren’s passion for gastroenterology stems from both professional curiosity and personal connections. She finds the complexity and importance of gut health fascinating, noting its critical impact not just on digestion but on overall wellness. Her dedication is fueled further by loved ones who have faced GI challenges, motivating her to deliver compassionate, thoughtful care every day.

Her nursing background is rooted in cardiology, where she served as both a bedside and Charge Nurse on a Cardiac Telemetry Unit. She played a key role in launching and managing a pre- and post-operative unit for Cardiac Catheterization Lab patients—a project she led from the ground up. Lauren has also served on several clinical committees, helping integrate the latest evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes.

Outside of work, Lauren embraces an active, adventurous lifestyle. She enjoys hiking, boating, golfing, snowboarding, and traveling with her husband. Together, they love discovering new cities, cultures, and healthy recipes to bring home and share.

Welcome to our Team Lauren!
