Happy Veterinary Assistant Week to the people who keep everything moving behind the scenes and make the hard days easier for both pets and people. 🩺🐾

Whether it’s drawing blood, taking radiographs, scrubbing into surgery, monitoring anesthesia, caring for contagious patients, or somehow managing the most fractious cats with patience and skill — our assistants handle it all with compassion and dedication every single day.

Thank you for the countless things you do that clients may never see, but that make every patient’s care possible. We are incredibly grateful for each and every one of you. 💙🐶🐱

Meet Maeve!!! 🐾🌼 She is a 4 year old Irish Wolfhound who came in to see us this week for a c-section.

Sweet Maeve delivered 9, perfect babies. 6 boys and 3 girls! She is the absolute best mama and is taking such amazing care of her puppies.

Look at these adorable little faces!!! These tiny boys all got neutered today, but they all got TONS of love!!!!

Eight years of dedication, leadership, problem-solving, patience, teamwork… and probably answering “quick questions” that were definitely not quick questions. 😅

Jenelle, thank you for everything you do as Assistant Manager to help keep the hospital running strong. Your hard work, support, and commitment to the team and our patients do not go unnoticed. We are so lucky to have you as part of the Klaich family.

Meet Neva!! She ate some of her parents work out mat at home and started vomiting shortly after. Her owners brought her in for some X-rays to ensure nothing got stuck.

On her initial X-rays, Dr. Nichols saw something suspicious of rubber in her stomach. In order to determine if the material was going to cause a blockage, we gave Neva some barium. Barium helps our doctors to see if there is something obstructing the normal flow of the digestive tract.

Fortunately for Neva, all of the barium had moved through her intestines, revealing no evidence of an obstruction. Yay Neva! No more rubber for you sweet gal! 🥰⭐️
