After an extended hospital stay, this patient experienced worsening chronic shoulder pain and general weakness that made daily activities challenging.

Upon returning to her long-term care facility, she underwent four weeks of occupational therapy, which included therapeutic exercises, activities, self-care management, and neuro re-education. Her care team found that using shortwave diathermy was crucial in helping her regain her ability to care for herself. They noted:

After being diagnosed with progressive supranuclear palsy and dysphagia, Jimmy Mosley’s diet was limited to soft foods and thickened liquids.
