“Meet our little miracle, Jessa Lennox.
For over two decades, we, Susy and Derek, were the best of friends, with myself being straight and Derek being gay. Our friendship was a constant, and so was our shared dream of becoming parents. While life’s path didn’t unfold as we had once imagined, our desire for a family never faded and we eventually decided to take things into our own hands to have our dream of becoming parents come true. It led us on a long and often heartbreaking fertility journey, through several failed IVF cycles that tested our resolve.
But a new path opened for us—embryo donation. It was on this journey that we found our precious Jessa. We were so blessed that her embryo clung to life, a testament to the love that had been waiting for her all along.
On March 7, 2025, our world changed forever. Jessa arrived a little early, a tiny fighter who spent 17 courageous days in the NICU. Her journey home was a victory, and since then, she has been thriving, filling our lives with a love we never knew was possible.
Our modern little family is a testament to love’s many forms, and we are so proud of the love that surrounds our Jessa. Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for Doctor Whitten, the entire team, and the selfless embryo donor who helped us build this beautiful life. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts.”
