The Reno Area IMA Chapter invites you to join us for a plant tour of a local manufacturing technology company, Hamilton Company, in Reno on Thursday July 13th at 10 am.

We will meet in the lobby at 4970 Energy Way, Reno, NV 89502. Please arrive 5 minutes early. We will be touring the automated tip injection molding operation.

When: Tuesday March 7 at 3:30 pm

Cost: Free!
What: Plant tour and accounting discussions with their Director of Finance. Tour is limited to 12 attendees.

How: Email Scott Berry at scottberry8@yahoo.com if you would like to attend. You must sign up by Friday March 3 at 5:00 pm. There will be online registration steps for each attendee due to Panasonic no later than Sunday March 5 at 3:30 pm.

In advance: You will need to complete the online security process prior to arriving in order to be allowed on site. Bring a government issued ID with you to the tour.

Our tour guides will be Christine Brame, talent Acquisition, and Jason Uhlenhake, Director of Finance.

You will need to wear closed toe, comfortable shoes.

You will need to show a government issued photo ID at the gate. Once you park and come into the building, you may be required to show ID again to a Tesla guard and will need to show it again in the Panasonic badging office for temporary badges.


Site Access:

· Site Access Questionnaire: This will be part of your registration process on the ENVOY platform. You will receive an email from ENVOY to complete registration. Please do so 48 hours (about 2 days) prior to the tour.

· Sign NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) forms: These forms will also be included within the ENVOY platform. Please review and complete it at the time of registration.

Our tour guides will meet us in the Panasonic lobby, which is located next to Food Truck Alley.

North Gate

· Please use the right lane as you arrive to the Security Shack.

· Your name will be on the list to enter. You may need to show this email as proof of your visit.

· Please follow the road through the roundabout (go left) towards the building

Parking

· Please park in the red circled area.

· Parking lot can be full. At times we park in the dirt area circled in yellow.

Building Entrance

· Please go to the Panasonic Entrance (in blue on map). You will see a Panasonic sign above the double doors.

· What to expect of the entrance process: hand sanitizing station, mask station (not required), and shoe washing station



Directions to the Gigafactory:

From Reno

· Take I-80 East to USA Parkway Exit 32.

· Take USA Parkway to Electric Avenue.

· Turn left on to Electric Avenue:

o Electric Avenue is directly across from the Golden Gate gas station.

o When on USA Parkway, Golden Gate gas station is on your right and Electric Avenue is on your left.

· You will continue on Electric Avenue until you reach the Tesla Security Gate.

· Please give your name to the Tesla Security Guard to get through the gate.

· Once you get through the gate then head to the Panasonic Entrance.

Please join us for a robust discussion of the pros and cons of employees working from home. Discussion panel members will include representatives from Microsoft Licensing and PlayStation.

We will discuss what has worked over the last three years and what has not worked so well.

Discussions will include viewpoints from both employers and employees. Productivity, job satisfaction, cross-functional initiatives and employee engagement are some of the aspects to be discussed, along with answering questions from the audience.
Let's take the best of what we have learned over the last three years, and use it moving forward.

CAREER OPPORTUNITY!

The Nevada Society of CPAs is hiring for a Peer Review Manager. The NVCPA is responsible for administering the peer review program for 6 states. The manager will shepherd firms, reviewers, and committee members through the process per the AICPA’s Peer Review Program guidance.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of three years of accounting or audit experience, possess strong written and verbal communication skills, be highly organized, and have the ability learn and grow within the program. This role is 100% onsite.

Salary is $70,000-$75,000. We provide a robust benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and short-term disability, free for the employee. We provide a 10% SEP contribution, PTO, and 12 paid holidays.
