CARE Chest Together, we are Renewing Hope ~ Nurturing Independence

CARE Chest's goal is to strengthen the community as a whole through improved healthcare access while empowering local low-income, uninsured and underinsured individuals to self-manage chronic health conditions, remain independent in their own homes and prevent expensive emergency room visits and secondary/long-term health conditions. By enabling people access to a single item or prescription needed to be healthy and return to work or school, CARE Chest helps sustain the fluidity of the local economy while providing hope to families in need. Once healthy, many clients return to donate to our programs, continuing the cycle of strengthening the community through preventative medical care.

Our Story

CARE Chest of Sierra Nevada is a local non-profit agency that provides medical resources to low-income Nevadans, free of charge. Our programs include: - Medical Equipment and Supplies - Prescription Assistance - Diabetic Supplies - Medical Nutrition - Independent Living - Wellness Education We re-use donated durable medical equipment, putting these items back to work in the community. If you need help with medical equipment or supplies or want to get involved through volunteering or as a donor, please do not hesitate to reach out at 829-CARE or learn more at CAREChest.org.
