You guys this week marks 15 years as a doula. 💛

It’s hard to believe this family photo was taken just a few months before I chose this path. What started as “just a hobby” turned into a calling that has shaped my life in the most meaningful ways.

I’ve witnessed countless first breaths, held hands through the hardest moments, cried alongside families, and celebrated the strength of hundreds and hundreds of women over and over again.

Thank you for trusting me, inviting me into your stories, and allowing me to support you. You’ve changed me just as much as I’ve supported you & I’ll never take that for granted. Love You All!!

Two beautiful babies have arrived since Saturday. 💙💕✨ Three nights of sleep lost 😴… but I somehow wrapped up an amazing Sunday birth class with this sweet group. 💛

Perks of weekend afternoon classes = everyone is awake, happy, and ready to learn. ☀️📚 Big thank you to this beautiful group for choosing , showing up, and getting inspired for a beautiful birth experience. 🙏💫

I am considering adding more Sundays to the schedule… stay tuned. 😉🗓️

Fun Fact Friday: 🌍

In January 2027, I am heading to 🇹🇿 Africa with two friends 👯to hike Mount Kilimanjaro.⛰️ It will easily be one of the hardest things I’ve ever done… aside from raising two crazy boys. 😅

Since I am already booking clients into November, I wanted to give everyone a heads-up: I will not be taking babies due around Christmas or during the month of January while I am away climbing 19,000ft up a mountain (pray for me).🙏

Sooooo, consider this your official warning… maybe lay off making babies until May. 😉

✨ I am so excited to celebrate my first childbirth education class of 2026! 🎉
Last night we wrapped up their childbirth education journey, and I couldn’t feel more honored to support these beautiful families as they prepare to welcome their babies. It has been such a joy walking alongside you during this season. Thank you! 💛🤍

Ok, I couldn’t help myself and had to jump on the AI caricature trend. What do you think…did they nail it (peep the tiny babies hugging me). 😍

Every baby. Every family. Every story. 627 babies later and somehow it captured the chaos + heart pretty well.

Doula work work is messy, sacred, exhausting, powerful and SOOO worth it!! It’s been almost 15 years and I am deeply honored to do this work. ❤️

I just wanted to thank you all so much for supporting the Bailey family and showing up in such a big way during this difficult time. Because of this community, we were able to collect around $3,000 in donations, provide 10 meals, and share countless gift cards. 🙏🙏

Labor Tip #677

LEAN into it… you’re nearing 10 cm, and your body is starting to instinctively bear down. This is called the Ferguson reflex a natural, hormonal response that helps move your baby down and out.

This is where labor shifts. You move from breathing through contractions to actively working with them. Lean into the sensations. Follow your body’s cues. Bear down in a way that feels right to you as your baby moves through your pelvis and into your arms.

Moral of the story…Think of labor like the Leaning Tower of Pisa…

✨ Gravity is your friend

We need to come together & support a mama who experienced the unexpected loss of her husband when she was 4 months pregnant.

She is now caring for their 4 year old daughter and a newborn, with limited family support nearby.

As she navigates postpartum and this unimaginable season especially during the holidays I am helping to organize a meal train to help lessen the daily burden. Providing a meal, gift card, or donation is a simple way to wrap this family in love and support.
