Mymenopalz Supporting women in perimenopause & beyond. Partnering with employers to strengthen retention and reduce burnout.

05/22/2026

So many women are quietly questioning themselves at work right now.

Not because they suddenly stopped caring.
Not because they lost ambition.

But because fluctuating hormones, exhaustion, anxiety, brain fog, sleep disruption, and burnout are colliding with careers they spent decades building.

Most workplaces still do not recognize what this actually looks like in real life.

That silence is costing women confidence, leadership opportunities, and sometimes careers they worked incredibly hard for.

How often do organizations recognize the value of who their leaders have actually been, not just the role they hold today or the potential they may have tomorrow?

Resilience, adaptability, emotional intelligence, crisis management, and long-term leadership are not developed overnight. They are built through lived experience.

Reading The Way She Leads, featuring a chapter written by our MenoPalz co-founder Debbie McCarthy, was a reminder that many of the qualities corporations claim to value most are often shaped during the most demanding stages of life, including midlife and menopause. We are incredibly proud of Debbie for sharing her story so authentically and helping push these conversations forward in leadership spaces.

Organizations that support women through these transitions are better positioned to retain experienced talent, preserve institutional knowledge, strengthen leadership pipelines, and reduce the costly impact of burnout, disengagement, and attrition.

The future of workforce retention is not built by ignoring life transitions. It is built by recognizing the value experienced leaders continue to bring to the workplace every day.

MenoPalz exists to help organizations reduce the hidden costs of attrition, burnout, and disengagement through menopause-informed leadership and workforce strategy.

Half the workforce. Billions in preventable costs. One conversation that changes everything.
This month's editorial features Reno's own MenoPalz — a workplace readiness initiative helping organizations actually support women through menopause and midlife transitions. Because when silence is replaced with strategy, everyone wins.

1 in 4 women have considered leaving the workforce due to menopause symptoms.

At the same time:

• Up to 60% experience sleep disruption impacting workplace performance
• Brain fog and cognitive symptoms remain some of the most reported workplace challenges

This is not happening quietly at the edges of the workforce.

It is impacting experienced employees, leadership continuity, retention, and sustainable performance in real time.

The workforce is changing. Leadership strategy has to evolve with it.

The question is whether organizations are prepared to respond to it.

Menopause is no longer a conversation employers can afford to overlook.

What remains invisible is already impacting:

• Retention
• Productivity
• Leadership continuity
• Healthcare spend

The cost of silence is operational.

As the workforce ages, organizations investing in informed leadership and workplace strategy will be better positioned to retain experienced talent and sustain performance.

The workforce is changing. Leadership strategy must evolve with it.

If your organization is ready to address the gap, we should talk.

Did you know?

Even short 5–10 minute movement breaks during the workday can improve focus, energy, and stress management according to the CDC.

I was reminded by our COO to step away from my desk and take the walk.

That reminder is exactly why MenoPalz exists.

Women are silently navigating burnout, exhaustion, brain fog, sleep disruption, and hormonal shifts while still leading and producing every day.

And employers are absorbing the cost through absenteeism, presenteeism, turnover, and loss of experienced talent.

Sometimes support is simple:

Movement.
Flexibility.
Informed leadership.

Menopause is already impacting your workforce.
Is leadership prepared to respond to it?

Something big is coming at MenoPalz.

The workforce is changing faster than most organizations are prepared for.

According to Pew Research Center, workers age 75+ are now the fastest-growing age group in the workforce.

Yet few organizations are prepared for the realities impacting midlife women at work including menopause, burnout, absenteeism, retention, and leadership continuity.

Most companies are tracking turnover and rising healthcare costs.

Few are tracking menopause.

The future of workforce retention requires more than awareness.

It requires workplace readiness.

Stay tuned.

We all perform better when we have space to reset, reconnect, and recover.

This week, part of the MenoPalz team spent the evening by the Truckee River in doing exactly what we teach organizations to recognize: sustainable performance requires environments where people feel supported enough to step away, decompress, and continue to thrive.

For women navigating menopause and midlife transitions, that support matters even more. Over 70% of women report staying silent at work about symptoms out of fear of being judged or perceived differently.

At MenoPalz, we believe experienced talent does not thrive in survival mode.

How much is silence costing your organization?

Some of the most important conversations happening in workforce strategy are not happening in boardrooms yet. They are happening in rooms like this.

MenoPalz CEO & Founder Raquel Riggle and Co-Founder Debbie McCarthy had the opportunity to connect with Dr. Vonda Wright at the Women’s Health Summit while continuing to learn from leading voices in women’s health and menopause education.

Why does this matter?

Because over 70% of women say they do not discuss menopause symptoms at work due to stigma or fear of being perceived differently. Meanwhile, employers are absorbing the cost through turnover, burnout, absenteeism, presenteeism, and loss of experienced leadership talent.

At MenoPalz, we believe informed leadership changes outcomes. The more organizations understand what menopause can look like at work, the better they can support, retain, and protect their workforce.

The future of workforce retention includes menopause education, leadership awareness, and informed policy strategy. Is your organization prepared?

MenoPalz was featured in City Lifestyle Reno Magazine because this conversation is no longer being ignored. It is showing up in real workplaces, every day.
Here is what that actually looks like:

A strong employee starts missing details she never used to miss.
A manager labels it burnout or performance.
HR sees rising claims, more time off, more quiet disengagement.
No one connects it.

That is the gap.

What we do at MenoPalz is bring clarity to that moment through leadership alignment and practical workforce support.

Why now?

More than 6,000 women enter menopause every day in the U.S., many in experienced, high-impact roles.
Most companies are not set up to support them.
So it shows up in retention, performance, and cost.

Not because leaders do not care
Because no one has owned the problem

This is not a wellness initiative
It is a workforce strategy

Have you already seen this gap in your organization but not connected the dots? It could already be costing you thousands. It is time to put a strategy behind it.

Let’s talk.

Community is not a soft skill.

It is a longevity strategy.

The U.S. Surgeon General has compared the mortality impact of social disconnection to smoking up to 15 ci******es a day.

At MenoPalz, we recognize the power of community not only in what we teach, but in how we live and lead.

This week, our team took time to practice what we preach.

We stepped away, reconnected, and celebrated one of our own at one of our favorite places, in Reno, NV, in honor of our Project Manager extraordinaire, , and her birthday.

Because leadership is not just about performance.

It is about connection. It is about restoration. It is about creating cultures where people are supported enough to thrive.

At MenoPalz, community is not an afterthought.

It is part of the medicine.
