💬 It’s Okay to Ask for Help 💬

Needing help doesn’t make you weak — it means you’re human.

💛 Self-Care Is Not Selfish 💛

Taking care of yourself isn’t a luxury — it’s a necessity. You can’t pour from an empty cup, and you deserve the same kindness you give to everyone else.

🌿 Rest without guilt. Sleep, breathe, and let yourself recharge.
☀️ Do something just for you. A walk, a book, a hobby — whatever brings joy.
💬 Speak kindly to yourself. Your inner voice should be your biggest cheerleader.
🤝 Reach out. Connection is a form of care, too.

Remember: Self-care isn’t about escaping life, it’s about creating a life you don’t need to escape from.

💡 What’s one small thing you can do today to care for yourself? Share it below — your idea might inspire someone else.

**📚💛 Supporting Our Kids Through the School Year 💛📚**

School isn’t just about grades — it’s about growth, confidence, and well-being. Our kids face new challenges every day, and they need our love, patience, and encouragement more than anything.

💬 **Listen to them** — Sometimes they just need to be heard without advice or judgment.
👏 **Celebrate the small wins** — Every effort counts, not just the big achievements.
🤝 **Be their safe space** — Home should be where they can recharge and feel accepted exactly as they are.
💡 **Encourage balance** — Rest, play, and friendships are just as important as homework.

Let’s remind them daily:
✨ *“You are capable. You are loved. You are enough.”* ✨

Here’s to a year of learning, resilience, and joy for our kids! 🌟

Accepting New Clients!!!

I am an LCSW, I received my master’s degree in 2015. I am EMDR trained, I love to take a client-centered approach in therapy as none of us are the same and different modalities are key. It is important that you feel you in are in charge of the process and I am here to support you in that.

Back-to-School Talks: Keep It Real, Supportive, and Low-Stress

Heading back to school can stir up big feelings for kids. Here’s how to make those conversations easier and more helpful:

Be Real About Challenges
Don’t gloss over past struggles. Acknowledge them and use them to plan ahead. Let your child talk through worries and brainstorm solutions together.

Take Worries Seriously
Even if a concern seems small to you, it might feel huge to them. Validate their feelings and ask open-ended questions to help them open up.

Focus on the Positives
Remind them of the fun stuff — favorite classes, teachers, friends, or decorating their locker. Ask what they’re looking forward to.

Don’t Force It
If they’re not ready to talk, that’s okay. Be present, stay supportive, and keep the door open for when they are ready.

Sierra Sunrise Wellness Group is here to help continue the conversation — you're not alone.
