We are humbled and grateful to be part of the AFSP Annual Out of the Darkness Walk today. Despite the hot temps, we are proud to participate and take the lead in walk participants this year!! It’s just a testament to our staff, who are truly dedicated and amazing individuals. Thank you for all that you do!! Everyone that showed up today did so on their own accord, and out of the benefit of the cause for su***de prevention. As a Leadership Team, we are truly fortunate to have such compassionate staff at RBH. Mostly, for the people in our community that need our resources and the equally integral resources that are our partners, we feel especially hopeful and united today. Together, we can and DO make a difference.

Hospital Week was a huge success! Our staff enjoyed dress-up days, a sundae bar, Western Day with a BBQ, and lots of other activities and treats. It’s so important to take care of our staff who in turn, take care of our patients. We value each and every one you!

Our staff and patients really enjoyed creating individual appreciation cards for National Letter to an Elderly Day. We delivered them to Alta Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Reno. It was a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge their residents and remind them they are thought of in our community.

Reno Behavioral Healthcare Hospital joined many other mental health agencies and advocates yesterday at Behavioral Health Day at the Nevada Legislature in Carson City. Those who attended held meetings with Legislators to discuss critical behavioral health topics, and the mission of The Behavioral Health Association of Nevada. The goals are to increase focus on prevention and improve accessibility and sustainability of treatment and recovery options for all Nevada residents. RBH joins and supports these ongoing efforts.
