Yesterday, we were honored to take part in the blue and green lighting of the historical Reno arch. Blue and green are the official Donate Life colors, and every year during National Donate Life Month in April, organizations like Donor Network West celebrate with events like this.

These activities are meant to spread awareness around organ, skin, and tissue donation and the incredible impact that even one donation can have on many lives. In Nevada, nearly 700 people are currently waiting for a lifesaving organ transplant. We are honored to take part in these events, as the work done by both our team and Donor Network West makes a significant impact in our region.

National Donate Life Month (NDLM) was established by Donate Life America and its partnering organizations in 2003. Observed in April each year, National Donate Life Month helps raise awareness about donation, encourages people to register as organ, eye and tissue donors, and honors those who have saved lives through the gift of donation.

To register as an organ, eye, and tissue donor, you can sign up easily at this website: https://registerme.org/

With Easter just around the corner, we had a fun visit from the Paws 4 Love therapy dogs - all dressed in cute Easter decorations! They visited with our staff and provided some stress relief and smiles for our team.

Thank you to Paws 4 Love Reno, our volunteer Vicki, and therapy dog Kodi for organizing this event to spread joy at Saint Mary's!

When it comes to cancer, prevention or early detection can make all the difference. Around 40% of cancers can be prevented or treated more effectively when risk factors are reduced and screenings are done on time. Making healthy choices, staying informed, and talking with your healthcare provider about recommended screenings are simple steps that can have a big impact.
