Today is World Health Day, and during Autism Awareness Month, it’s an important reminder that health includes everyone—including individuals on the autism spectrum. 💙

Health is not just about access to care—it’s about being understood, respected, and supported in ways that honor each person’s unique needs. For many autistic individuals and their families, navigating healthcare systems can come with additional barriers, from communication challenges to limited provider understanding.

This month, and today especially, we recognize the importance of:
💙 Accessible and inclusive healthcare
💙 Providers trained in neurodiversity and communication
💙 Family-centered and person-centered care
💙 Mental health support alongside physical health

In Nevada, resources like the Family Navigation Network help connect families to care and support systems that truly make a difference.

Everyone deserves the opportunity to live a healthy, supported life—on their own terms.
