******************HIANN ANNUAL HOLIDAY PARTY!*****************
Several dozen HIANN members came together December 12th at the Cicina Lupo restaurant in Carson City to enjoy our annual Holiday Dinner. The food was scrumptous and it was an enjoyable time for all. A dozen members were recognized for their commited participation in our weekly fitness program and several others were awarded certificates for their fabulous participation in Constant Therapy Cognitive Training.

HIANN hosted movie night on Wednessday November 27th. Members came out to view the classic movie, ELF! It was a most
enjoyable movie and got many of us in the mood for the upcoming holidays!

On this past Saturday, HIANN hosted another great cooking class
at Nothing To It in Reno! Participants were taught on how to make
come AMAZING dishes, including a desert that was out-of-this-
world! Thanks to Veronica who coordinated the class and to the
wonderful chefs at Nothing To It... and to Veronica again for some
great photos!

KAYAKING AT LAKE TAHOE! HIANN members enjoyed a sunset tour on Lake Tahoe on August 27th! It was a perfect evening on the water and everyone had a great time! The folks at Tahoe City Kayak & Paddleboard provided the kayaks and the fabulous tour guides.

******_S_K_I__D_A_Y__W_I_T_H__A_C_H_I_E_V_E__T_A_H_O_E_!_****** Several HIANN members had a blast at Alpine Meadows yesterday on Sunday March 17 for our annual Achieve Tahoe Ski Day! The weather was wonderful and the instructors were fabulous. There was quite a lot of great skiing too!

A pretty good size group met this afternoon at our Homegrown Bowling Alley for some great fun bowling, eating pizza and sharing some time with some good HIANN friends. Everyone had an enjoyable time, whether or not they scored well! The bowling alley did a pretty good job adapting to physical handicaps, supplying lane bumpers and special ramps for the bowling balls.

**************NEVADA STATE RAILROAD MUSEUM***************
Today we had a wonderful time visiting the Nevada State Railroad Museum in Carson City. Everyone found it educational and fun too! We took a ride in an Edwards Motor Car along the tracks. We also got to take a look at railroad engines and cars, most of whom are over 100 years old and have been beautifully restored. We had a great tour guide, Nancy Deis, who is an old friend of board member Sue Baumruck (and Al).Afterwards, some of us took to some refreshments at Yogurt Beach. photos by Michael Wagner - except where noted.
