⚠️ Pain in your lower right abdomen? Don’t ignore it!

Appendicitis can start as mild stomach pain and quickly become serious. It happens when the appendix becomes inflamed, and if left untreated, it can rupture, leading to dangerous complications.

Watch for these common warning signs:
Sudden pain that starts near the belly button and shifts to the lower right side
Nausea or vomiting
Fever or chills
Loss of appetite
Abdominal bloating or trouble passing gas

If you experience these symptoms, seek medical help immediately. Early diagnosis and treatment can make a big difference in recovery.

At Liberty Clinic, your health and safety come first. Our team is here to provide prompt, compassionate care when you need it most. 💙

Fighting Colon Cancer Close to Home at Liberty Clinic

Colon cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the U.S., but early detection saves lives. Regular screenings—like colonoscopies starting at age 45 (or sooner with family history)—are key to prevention.

At Liberty Clinic, our team offers both screening colonoscopies and surgical treatment (colectomies), providing complete colon cancer care in one place. Many patients are diagnosed and treated locally with minimal delay, and if chemotherapy is needed, port placements can also be done by the same trusted provider.

With Liberty Clinic, patients have a fighting chance through early intervention and effective local treatment.

At Liberty Clinic, we perform lipoma excisions!

What is a lipoma?
A lipoma is a benign fatty tumor that grows slowly under the skin. It often feels soft, movable, and usually isn’t painful, but depending on its size or location, it can cause discomfort or become bothersome.

Why remove it?
While lipomas are generally harmless, they may be removed if:
They are growing
Causing pain or pressure
Affecting appearance or movement
For peace of mind through proper diagnosis

Noticed a lump? Don’t ignore it. Book a consultation with Liberty Clinic to get it checked and explore your options.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month - October 🎀

At Liberty Clinic, we are proud to stand with the brave individuals who are fighting breast cancer, celebrate the strength of survivors, and honor the memory of those we've lost.

Breast cancer affects millions of lives every year, but early detection can save lives. This month, we’re reminding our community to prioritize their health. Whether it’s scheduling a mammogram, learning the signs, or encouraging a loved one to get checked, every step matters.

Let’s raise awareness, support one another, and spread hope.

At the beginning of this year, Liberty Clinic proudly expanded our Wound Care team with the addition of Col. Scott Williams, CNS—a Rensselaer native bringing advanced expertise and compassionate care to our local community. Liberty Clinic is proud to be the “doctor’s doctor” for wound care and the leading referral resource for providers across Jasper, White, Newton, Benton, Fountain, and Warren counties.

Liberty Clinic has exclusively staffed the Wound Care Service at Rensselaer Hospital since October 2021. We have hours every Monday and Thursday, providing consistent, high-quality care close to home.

What types of wounds do we treat? Virtually all. Our most commonly managed cases include venous stasis ulcers, traumatic wounds, non-healing surgical wounds, pressure injuries, abscesses, and nearly any open sore on the body. Each patient receives personalized, evidence-based care tailored to their specific needs.

Our treatment options are comprehensive and may include debridement, advanced wound dressings, antibiotics, skin grafts, and biopsies for non-healing wounds to rule out malignancy. We also coordinate further care when needed.

If you need help with wounds, we want to be a resource for you!

💙Today is World Mental Health Day, a reminder that caring for your mind and body go hand in hand. Your physical health affects your mental well-being, and your mental health impacts how you feel and function every day.

At Liberty Clinic, we encourage you to take time for both. Move your body, rest your mind, and reach out when you need support.

Did you know most of our surgeries at Liberty Clinic are performed laparoscopically?

This minimally invasive approach uses small incisions and a tiny camera, allowing for quicker healing, less pain, and smaller scars. Best of all, many patients are able to go home the very same day!

At Liberty Clinic, we’re proud to offer advanced surgical care, close to home, with the comfort and recovery you deserve.

Family planning is a deeply personal and important decision. At Liberty Clinic, we understand this and offer specialized surgical family planning services such as Vasectomies!

A vasectomy is a safe, effective, and permanent method of male contraception. This minor surgical procedure involves removing a portion of the vas deferens to prevent s***m from reaching the semen, thereby preventing pregnancy. The procedure is minimally invasive and performed in a comfortable outpatient setting. Recovery is quick, with most patients returning to normal activities within a few days. It is highly effective, with a success rate of more than 99% at preventing pregnancy.

We invite you to call for a consultation!
