For years, this 29-year-old patient struggled to breathe through his nose after multiple sports-related injuries and facial trauma.

He struggled to breathe through his nose, lost much of sense of smell, and had increasing difficulty sleeping. Even simple activities like brushing his teeth and eating were challenging because of severe nasal obstruction. Nasal sprays and saline rinses provided little relief.

Dr. Nicole Colgrove performed a functional septorhinoplasty to correct a severely deviated septum and straighten his crooked nose.

These before-and-after photos show the transformation:
• Base view: significant tip deviation corrected to a straight, symmetric appearance
• Frontal view: improved alignment and facial balance

Most importantly, he can now breathe clearly through his nose again.

Functional rhinoplasty is not just about appearance. For many patients, it can dramatically improve airflow, sleep, and quality of life.

Reston ENT in Bolivia 🇧🇴
Dr. Colgrove and Dr. Lee are back in Bolivia with Mission of Hope Bolivia, where they are providing surgical care for patients who otherwise wouldn’t have access to specialty care. They started the week strong completing 11 ENT surgeries on their first day.
