Spine Twisting/Ardha-Matsyendrasana

TIPS for improving posture:

- Lenghen Your Spine first: Inhale and stretch your spine upwards, creating space between each vertebra. This is important before twisting.

Hip Alignment:
Keep both hips planted on the floor.

Breathing:
Inhale as you lift/elongate your spine.
Exhale as you twist.

Arm Placement:
Beginners can position arm behind back to maintain a straight spine. To deepen the twist, as you progress your arm can wrap around your back to grab the thigh

BENEFITS:

Benefits of Spine Twist:

- Improved Spinal Flexibility: increases flexibility of the spine.
- Reduced Back Pain: alleviates lower back pain by stretching and compressing the spinal muscles and nerves.
- Increased Circulation: Twisting the spine improves blood flow to the spinal disks and surrounding tissues.
Digestive Aid: stimulates digestion and can help ease digestive issues.
- Hip Opening: effective hip opener.

Our Story

-We offer Full schedule of Hot Yoga Classes -All classes are 90 minutes. -The room is heated to about 105-110 degrees Fahrenheit and about 40% humidity -Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the start of class. New students, please arrive at least 20 minutes early to register. -Drink plenty of water throughout the day before class -Please have an empty stomach prior to the start of class. -Please refrain from wearing perfume or cologne. -Wear lightweight workout clothes. -Water, a yoga mat and a large towel are required for the class
