Yesterday was National Trauma Survivors Day which annually honors the strength and resilience of trauma and burn survivors, their caregivers, and the medical professionals who support them. Reston Hospital and the Trauma Services team hosted a Race to Rebuild to raise awareness and funding for the Trauma Survivors Network that works on connecting, educating, and empowering trauma survivors and their families, offering resources and advocacy for improved recovery. This year, the Race to Rebuild t-shirt design was created by one of Reston Hospital's trauma services team members, Sarah Sears!
Reston Hospital, with its Level II trauma center, is proud to engage with the community, first responders, and fellow colleagues as well as honor survivors in their road to recovery.
