Like resistance training, variation of eating habits can cause the body to respond more effectively to your weight loss regiment. I've tried this, it works. For even better results, have BCAA drinks after the 8 hour period to minimize muscle lost.

Intermittent fasting can provide many important health benefits, including improving your insulin/leptin sensitivity, helping your body more effectively burn fat for fuel, increasing mental clarity and overall energy levels and more. For years I agonized over finding the diet, eating schedule, and…

This works because whenever you want to release a tight band or muscle, you must meet the tension of the tight area where its at. Meaning, its not stretching that loosens up tight areas (contrary to popular belief), its creating tension or contraction of the area until the you meet tension/protection threshold. Muscles and overstressed ligaments have an overstressed self protection mechanism built in and when that is activated, it will shut down and tighten up. This exercise can help loosen the sustain tension of the tensor fascia lata (the band that runs along the outside of your thigh from your hip to your knees.

Science Connect!
Tightness of the tensor fascia lata (TFL) and weakness in the gluteals is a common muscle imbalance seen in the lumbo-pelvic-hip region. One of the keys in helping to improve this imbalance is to strengthen the gluetal muscles with minimal activity of the TFL. See which exercises best target the gluteal muscles while minimizing activation of the TFL.
