Radiology advocacy is making a real difference in patient care! 📢

A new Harvey L. Neiman Health Policy Institute study published in the Journal of the American College of Radiology shows how Missouri’s 2019 legislation expanding breast cancer screening coverage led to:

✅ 45% increase in screening for Medicaid patients
✅ 64% increase in DBT use among Medicaid patients in
Missouri vs. neighboring states
✅ 24% increase in DBT use for commercially insured women
✅ Overall 9% higher screening rates for Medicaid patients

This is a powerful example of how radiologists and policymakers can work together to improve access to lifesaving imaging services.
