A recent American Medical Association feature highlights how Mary’s Center is redefining care delivery — and how the Radiology Health Equity Coalition is helping expand imaging access in underserved communities.

Through partnerships, care coordination and data-driven strategies, we’re working to close care gaps, improve cancer screening access, and embed equity into everyday radiology practice.

With over 50M patients relying on community health centers, scalable, coordinated care models are more critical than ever.

We often talk about mentorship as something big — programs, titles, long‑term guidance. But sometimes it’s the small moments that stay with us the longest.

In this Voice of Radiology blog, Dr. Samar A. Khan shares how meaningful mentorship in radiation oncology can come from simple acts of encouragement and connection, and how those moments help trainees build confidence, leadership skills and a sense of belonging in the profession.

Did you pack your white coat? 🥼 and are almost here. EVP, Gov Relations Josh Cooper is ready to help you prepare in this . We’re asking Congress to:
🩻 Cosponsor the No Surprises Act Enforcement Act (NSAEA) to protect patients from surprise medical bills and ensure timely payment after dispute decisions, holding insurers accountable w/ penalties for late or nonpayment.
💰 Remove barriers that have delayed the implementation of the PAMA Appropriate Use Criteria program, helping ensure the correct imaging exam is ordered the first time and saving Medicare and patients money by co-sponsoring the Radiology Outpatient Ordering Transmission (ROOT) Act.
♾️ Move away from repeated short-term congressional fixes in favor of long term Medicare payment stability

Time to make the voice of radiology heard 🗣️
