Madisonhealth

Madisonhealth Madisonhealth, is east Idaho's premiere healthcare system comprising of eight robust clinics. Over the years, we've enjoyed great respect and recognition.

The Madison Memorial brand has been well loved throughout the community. But we're growing. We're more than a hospital now. We're two of the most robust medical clinics in the area. We're a technologically advanced surgery center. We're an orthopedics practice. A radiology clinic. A rehabilitation center. A Huntsman-affiliated cancer care center. And so much more. Our team is more than 700 strong, all of us collaborating to inspire healthy living in our community. And we're joined by a network of 270 providers. "Hospital" no longer describes us. We're a system. We are Madisonhealth.

Today, on National First Responders Day, our ER team took a lighthearted moment to show appreciation for the incredible humans who answer the call—day or night, rain or shine.

We invited our local first responders to help with a lift assist 😉 in the ER and surprised them with a sweet thank-you: donuts! 🍩

To all the first responders who serve our community with courage, compassion, and quick action—including those who wear the Madisonhealth name—we see you, we appreciate you, and we’re so grateful for all you do throughout our hospital and clinics, but especially our the incredible service and support you provide our very own Emergency Team! 💙

Please help us congratulate this sweet family on the early arrival of their perfect twin boys, Asher and Cohen.

While their journey began in the Madison Memorial Hospital NICU more than a month ago, mom and dad shared that their experience has been full of gratitude thanks to the incredible nurses and care team who have walked beside them every step of the way.

“While the NICU is not what many new parents want or expect, our experience has been positive because of the high-quality care our entire family has received. We can’t imagine better, more qualified people to trust with our babies!”

As recent BYU–Idaho graduates and first-time parents, they’re learning to balance two worlds—life at home with Asher, who recently graduated from the NICU, and life in the NICU with Cohen, who continues to grow stronger each day.

Their heartfelt advice for other NICU families? 💭

“Celebrate all the milestones they accomplish. While all you want to do is bring them home, the NICU experience becomes a sweeter part of their story when you’re there to see them grow each day.”

Join us in sending all your love, prayers, and best wishes to this amazing family as they navigate these first precious months together. 💙

💙 Happy National Medical Assistants Week! 💙

Behind every appointment, every lab draw, and every caring moment—there’s a Medical Assistant making it happen.

Medical Assistants (MAs) are the bridge between patients and providers, combining clinical skill with compassionate connection. They take vitals, assist with exams, manage records, coordinate care, and ensure every patient receives the attention and respect they deserve. In many ways, they’re the heartbeat of healthcare—keeping everything flowing seamlessly.

At Madisonhealth, our MAs bring compassion, precision, and positivity to every interaction—keeping our clinics running smoothly and our patients feeling seen, supported, and cared for.

From calming nerves to coordinating care, your impact reaches far beyond the exam room. We’re so grateful for the way you show up—every single day—for our patients and for one another.

👏 Today, we celebrate the incredible MAs across all of our clinics and care centers—each one playing a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our community.

🌼 We are excited to announce this month’s DAISY Award recipient! 🌼

The DAISY Award is an international program that recognizes nurses for the extraordinary, compassionate care they provide patients and families every day.

This month, we’re honored to celebrate Madison Shields from Med/Surg!

The following patient nomination is a powerful reminder of what exceptional nursing looks like:

“I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional care and compassion Madison provided during my recent surgical procedure at Madison Memorial Hospital. Her dedication to her patients is remarkable, and I wanted to let her know how much her kindness and attentiveness meant to me. By her countenance, a patient can see that she truly cares about her patients. Her calm and reassuring demeanor when explaining my treatment plan, her willingness to answer my questions patiently, and her prompt response to my needs made a significant difference in my experience.

After my hip replacement surgery, the doctor ordered no crossing of the legs—which for me was difficult because I always have. Every time Madison entered my room, she reminded me to uncross my legs. I can still hear her voice reminding me! She noticed when my bed was too low to safely transfer to the walker and immediately stopped what she was doing to help me, explaining how my position could harm my recovery. She stayed by my side, making sure I got to the restroom safely and remained with me until I was done. She even took it upon herself to find out why I hadn’t received my discharge papers and made sure they were delivered promptly. When I was finally released, she went the extra mile to ensure I was comfortable, helped me get to my transportation, and made sure I was seat-belted properly.

Her positive attitude and genuine care made a challenging time so much easier to bear. Madison is not just a nurse—she is a true advocate for her patients. I hope she knows how much her work is valued.”

Madison, your kindness, advocacy, and dedication embody the heart of nursing. You turn care into compassion and routine into reassurance. Congratulations on receiving this month’s DAISY Award! 🌟

The DAISY Award is one way we celebrate the difference extraordinary nurses make every day. 💙

Our Story

Madison Memorial in Rexburg, Idaho is dedicated every day to the new discoveries in the art and science of healthcare. Exciting medical advances are taking place whether it’s a patient who undergoes a new, life-saving procedure or a clinical researcher who finds promise in a new cancer treatment or therapies for chronic health conditions. Madison Memorial, the only county-owned, non-critical access healthcare entity in Idaho, is a 69 bed, full-service facility. It is on the forefront of providing evidence-based holistic patient care and linking its community members to the most progressive physicians, treatment, and medical technology available. Madison Memorial has grown substantially over the years, but has never lost the enduring goal of fulfilling the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of those we serve. The organization has earned the ISO 9001-2000, or “deemed status”, the most sought after recognition for quality outcome management by international healthcare organizations. Madison’s Board of Trustees and executive leadership team have set a vision to be a premier regional healthcare provider that is committed to excellence everyday as part of the patient’s healing experience. Madison’s medical staff and highly skilled nurses provide state-of-the-art, comprehensive patient-centered care, through a competent, healing, and trustworthy team. Madison is clearly committed and able to provide quality healthcare to the families of our community through all of life’s stages, which creates healthier communities. Madison is currently in the process of developing our services to include multidisciplinary Centers of Excellence in the form of a Women’s Health Institute, Oncology center, as well as a cardiovascular center – each to be certified, accredited, and specially designed to meet the needs of our surrounding counties and medical provider community.
