Meet Anna, our extraordinary Imaging Manager at Madison Memorial!

Anna has been with us since 1999, starting her journey as a tech. Over the years, through hard work, training, and a whole lot of heart, she’s become the expert in all things imaging — leading our team with knowledge, patience, and a deep well of compassion.

She’s also the proud caretaker of our newest addition: REX — our state-of-the-art 1.5 Tesla MRI machine! 🦖 Together, Anna and REX are making it easier than ever for patients to feel comfortable during diagnostic scans, ensuring every person who walks through our doors gets the best care possible.

Imaging plays a critical role in uncovering the answers providers need to make the right treatment decisions. Whether it’s a scan, an MRI, or other diagnostics — having the right tools and experts makes all the difference in a patient’s care journey.

At our recent Emergency Services Appreciation Lunch, we kicked off the busiest 100 days of the summer by gathering the brave men and women who serve our community day in and day out—police, fire, EMS, and other frontline responders.

And this year, one of the most moving moments came from a very special guest: Kaylin.

Back in 2016, when Kaylin was born, her parents began a family tradition inspired by the military “Challenge Coin” custom—a powerful way to say, thank you for your service. Since then, Kaylin has personally handed out over 1,500 coins to heroes across the country.

At our lunch, she passed coins to local responders with a shy smile and a steady hand. No speeches. No fanfare. Just a quiet gesture of deep gratitude—one hero honoring another.

Her very first coin recipient? Her "Uncle Matt"—a Sheriff and close family friend who used to hold her after long, difficult shifts working child s*x crimes. He reminded his fellow officers of why they do this work. She reminded him that innocence still exists.

Now she reminds all of us.

❤️ It’s moments like this that make us pause. Reflect. And remember that kindness is powerful. That our community is stronger because of those who serve—and those who say thank you.

Please join us in welcoming Hyrum Prestwich, NP-C, to the Madisonhealth Cancer Care team!

We’re thrilled to introduce Hyrum Prestwich, a certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in medical oncology. A Rigby native, Hyrum brings both expertise and heart to his role — combining a strong clinical foundation with a deep-rooted commitment to the community he calls home.

Hyrum completed both his undergraduate and graduate nursing studies at Brigham Young University and began his career in critical care and oncology nursing. His clinical experience, paired with a passion for delivering compassionate, patient-centered care, makes him a valuable addition to the Madisonhealth Cancer Care team.

Hyrum shares:

“It’s an honor to care for patients during some of their most vulnerable moments. I strive to provide high-quality care that’s not only evidence-based, but also rooted in empathy and understanding.”

Hyrum will be seeing patients at our exceptional Cancer Care Center, located at Madison Memorial Hospital. He is honored to serve the people of southeast Idaho and proud to practice in his home state.

Outside of work, Hyrum enjoys spending time with his wife and children, exploring the outdoors, and embracing all the natural beauty Idaho has to offer.

🎆 Celebrate Safely, Madison County! 🎆

The Fourth of July is a time for family, fireworks, and fun—but it’s also one of the busiest days of the year for emergency departments across the country.

Our Madisonhealth Emergency Department is always here when you need us—but we’d much rather you spend your holiday making memories, not making a trip to the ER.

Here’s how you can help keep the celebration safe:
🚫 Leave the big fireworks to the pros—even sparklers can burn at over 1,200°F.
🧨 If using fireworks at home, keep a bucket of water and a hose nearby.
👀 Protect your eyes and hands—never lean over fireworks when lighting them.
🌭 Grilling? Keep kids away and never leave the grill unattended.
🏊‍♂️ Going swimming or boating? Keep a close watch on kids and wear life jackets and know the waterways!
🚗 Planning to drink? Make a plan before you party—designate a sober driver, call a ride, or stay put. Drinking and driving is never worth the risk.

🇺🇸 However you’re celebrating—do it smart, do it safe, and do it together.
