Our last night in Spain, we went back to Loren’s house and her dad took all of us out to dinner. She and her dad were obsessed with gooseneck barnacles, which I had never seen and couldn’t bring myself to try. 🤣 We flew to Amsterdam and had a 21 hour layover. We were going to go do a dinner cruise or something out on the town, but by this point we were EXHAUSTED. Instead, we scheduled massages and ate in the hotel. We finally made it back to Salt Lake the following day, and then one more flight to Idaho Falls. 17 days of adventure and so many memories. We were so grateful for our dear friends and for hosting us and making our trip such a memorable experience. It was refreshing to see that David and I still really like each other and have fun together when we don’t have kids yelling at us and bills staring at us. 🤣 I’m so glad we decided to bite the bullet and go for it! Best trip ever!!
