Job Title: Medical Assistant/Nursing Assistant
Location: Rexburg, ID
Pay: $14.00 – $18.00 per hour (Based on experience)

About the Position:
Our General Surgery office in Rexburg is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. Credentials (CMA or CNA) and prior experience are preferred.

Schedule:
• Approximately 16–25 hours per week
• Typical schedule: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and every other Friday
• 8-hour day shifts (9:00 am – 5:00 pm)
• Must be available for a minimum 18-month commitment

Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
• Take and record patient vitals
• Assist with in-office procedures
• Sterilize instruments
• Support surgical prior authorizations
• Ensure proper documentation in the EMR system
Administrative Duties:
• Schedule appointments and surgical procedures
• Verify insurance
• Answer phones and handle patient inquiries
• Perform light office cleaning
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
• CMA or CNA certification preferred
• Previous experience preferred
• Strong multi-tasking, communication, and organizational skills
• Compassionate, professional, and team-oriented
• Comfortable working directly under physician supervision
• Must be willing to follow clinical protocols and maintain patient confidentiality

Part-time Medical Receptionist
Local surgical clinic looking for a part-time Receptionist to manage our front desk and to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our medical practice. You will welcome patients and enter their demographic and insurance information. You will coordinate front-desk insurance pre-authorization, patient visits and processing patient payments. To be successful as a Receptionist, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a patient advocate role. You should be able to deal with emergencies and urgent questions in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. This role will usually require working in shifts, so flexibility is necessary.

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome patients as soon as they arrive at the office
Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, and light cleaning duties are expected
Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email, emphasizing HIPPA compliance for protecting patient information at all times
Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
Update calendars and schedule meetings
Perform other medical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing

Skills
Proven work experience as a medical Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic medical records
Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
Professional attitude and appearance
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
Excellent organizational skills
Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
Patient service attitude
High school degree; additional certification in Office Management is a plus, as is Medical Terminology

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour Depending on Experience
