At Madison – We Do That.
CUSTOM STRENGTH & MOBILITY TRAINING. No two bodies move the same, so no two programs should either. Our occupational therapists and physical therapists design strength and mobility treatment based on your needs, your goals, and how your body responds to movement.

We look at:
• Where you feel limited or unstable
• What movements matter most in your daily life
• How your body responds to strengthening and mobility work

Your program is adjusted as you progress. Some days that means increasing resistance or complexity. Other days it means slowing down, refining technique, or focusing on mobility and control. The goal is always the same: helping you move better, feel stronger, and stay active safely.

If you have questions about custom strength and mobility training, give us a call at Therapy Services.

"I love the Physical Therapy Department at Madison Memorial Hospital. I have been receiving therapy for various conditions over the past 5 years. Their staff is very competent and knowledgeable and always ready to help me with recovery. I deeply appreciate their friendship. I am still using their pool for continuing recovery and it is very helpful."

At Madison – We Do That.
LOWER EXTREMITY TRAINING. Your legs do a lot of work for you: walking, standing, climbing stairs, getting in and out of the car, even simple balance. When something throws that off, it can ripple into everything else you do.

Lower extremity training focuses on rebuilding the strength and movement patterns that make daily life easier. In therapy at Madisonhealth Therapy Services that might look like:
• Practicing controlled steps on level and uneven surfaces
• Working on hip and knee mechanics to reduce strain and improve power
• Using targeted exercises to steady the ankles and improve balance
• Building endurance for longer walks or standing tasks
• Re-introducing movement after injury, surgery, or long periods of inactivity

Every patient starts at a different point. Some need help steadying their balance, others are rebuilding leg strength after an orthopedic surgery. Some patients are just trying to walk without feeling worn out or unsteady! At Therapy Services our therapists match the work to what your lower extremities can handle and progress from there.

If walking, standing, or getting around has been harder than it should be, give us a call for a screening or evaluation. 208-359-6500

At Madison – We Do That.
PERSONALIZED TREATMENT. Every patient comes in with different needs, different goals, and a different history. That’s why personalized treatment matters. It allows our therapists to focus on what YOUR body requires instead of relying on a standard plan.

At Madisonhealth Therapy Services, we take time to understand:
• What movements are difficult or painful
• What activities you want to return to
• How your body responds to exercise
• What pace of progress works best for you

Your plan is adjusted as you heal. Some days that means adding new strengthening or mobility work, and other days it means slowing down, focusing on technique, or using hands-on treatment to support recovery. The goal is always the same: safe, steady progress toward the things that matter in your daily life.

If you’re wondering whether personalized therapy could help you or someone you care about, give us a call: 208-359-6500.

At Madison - We Do That.
LOWER EXTREMITY SWELLING. Swelling in the legs, ankles, or feet (known commonly as lower extremity edema) can be a sign that your body is having trouble moving fluid effectively, often due to surgery, injury, circulation issues, or prolonged immobility. Over time unmanaged swelling can limit movement, increase pain, and slow down healing.

Our therapy team works to identify the cause of swelling and use targeted treatments to help reduce it. Techniques may include gentle manual therapy, vibration plates, compression, specialized exercises to promote lymphatic flow, and education on positioning and movement strategies you can use at home.

By improving circulation and reducing fluid buildup, therapy can help restore comfort, prevent complications, and get you moving again, safely and confidently.

Talk to your doctor, or give us a call at Therapy Services if you have questions.
