Thank you so much to everyone who came to our meeting tonight! We welcomed 5 new volunteers this month! It was a great one - we brainstormed fundraising ideas - MORE TO COME, wrote valentines day cards, and put together cookie kits to deliver to the Melody Center! Have a great month and can’t wait to see you all again soon! 💓❤️💌💝🍪

“When I saw that one of my old friends from high school, her 12-year-old sister, a little kid, got diagnosed with cancer. It just broke my heart. And that’s what made me want to help out.”

Repost from Ann Warner Frantti.

BENNY!! Former Orenda student and past officer of Nick's Round Table when we participated in the Volunteer Fair for Nick's Round Table. Now Benny is a TV reporter at Channel 13 in Albany! Proud watching him report nightly. The Round Table is a great opportunity for teens to volunteer to help children being treated for cancer.

During our November meeting, we were honored to accept a $300 donation from Diane Lange and the Lions Club, along with gas gift cards generously donated by Jim Myers! Their support directly fuels our mission of bringing hope, comfort and joy to children being treated for cancer at the Melodies Center at Albany Med.

Our teen members came together to make Thabkagiving gratitude gift bags and Joy Jars for the Melodies Center.

It was especially meaningful to see Abby, now in 9th grade. We remembered her preschool dance days while she was undergoing treatment, including the time she said she wanted to marry her nurse. Moments like these are powerful reminders of why we do what we do.

We were also grateful to have Ann Frantti join us. Her presence, continued support, and deep connection to this mission and the teens mean so much to all of us.

A heartfelt thanks to Danielle and Kristen for keeping Nick’s Round Table strong and moving forward. This incredible teen group was originally founded by Janine Cammarata and Annette Romano to honor the memory of their sons - and their legacy continues to inspire everything we do.

Nick’s story began with one boy’s incredible courage. It has grown into a community of kindness that keeps on giving. On his Earth Birthday, we honor Nick by continuing what he started: spreading hope, helping others, and reminding the world that love always wins.

Conquering Pediatric Cancer

Welcome to Nick’s Fight to be Healed Foundation (NFTBHF). This foundation began in January 2009 to help local children battling cancer at The Bernard & Millie Duker’s Children’s Hospital’s Melodies Center at Albany Med in Albany, NY. Since then, over $700,000 has been donated to financially and emotionally support children battling cancer.

Our Family Connections monthly program supports families who have had children treated or are being treated at The Melodies Center at Albany Medical Center. We come together to support our families through all stages of their cancer journey. It is sponsored by Nick's Fight to be Healed Foundation and will serve to share our Family Connections' events and ways to emotionally support everyone. To get on our email list or join our private FaceBook page, please contact Janine Cammarata at janinecammarata@fighttobehealed.org
