Growing up, cabbage wasn’t “health food.” It was just food.

Now we know it’s rich in vitamin C, antioxidants, and fiber — supporting heart health, blood sugar balance, and overall wellness.

For Black History Month, I’m honoring the vegetables that have always nourished our community 🖤

And yes — most older Black folks topped this with a fresh tomato + onion salad (cuheck my last post for that recipe 🍅🧅).

A little Filet-O-Fish dupe moment — but make it budget-friendly and weeknight easy 💛

Don’t sleep on frozen foods! Using frozen fish (and produce) can:

✔️ Save money – often more affordable than fresh, especially out of season
✔️ Lock in nutrients – many frozen foods are flash-frozen at peak freshness, helping preserve vitamins and minerals
✔️ Save time – no washing, chopping, or extra prep = quick meals on busy days

Healthy eating doesn’t have to be fancy or expensive. It just has to work for your real life 🙌🏾

Black History Month Veggie Series 🖤✨
Today we’re making Cajun Air Fryer Okra — crispy, flavorful, and a simple way to enjoy a cultural favorite with less oil & sodium!

Recipe 👇🏾
• Fresh okra
• Avocado oil
• Garlic powder
• Onion powder
• Aldi’s Cajun seasoning
• Reduced-sodium adobo
• ½ tsp baking powder (for extra crisp!)

Toss okra with oil + seasonings. Add baking powder and mix well.
Air fry 400°F for 10 minutes.
Don’t overcrowd the basket — okra needs space to crisp!

Crispy outside, tender inside, BIG flavor 🔥
