Please Pay Attention to What You Are Being Charged!
Dearest Customers!
This is your reminder to CHECK your cart (especially your shipping method) when ordering from anybody, but especially me. I specifically state in my shipping policies that ordering Priority Mail Express has no bearing on my 5-10 day production schedule.
Besides, Priority Mail Express SUCKS. They have NEVER gotten anything overnight to any of my customers who choose it. They don't guarantee they will anymore either. If you want a 2-3 day shipping window, just go with Priority Mail. If you are local, you may even get that time with Ground Advantage (formerly First Class). You will get always tracking number for all shipments.
Ground Advantage comes with $100 of insurance. It can take 3-5 business days. Priority Mail comes with $100 of insurance, and they say it takes 2-3 business days. I am always going to go with Ground Advantage for any purchase. Purchasing Priority anything only has a small chance of speeding up your shipping time. It does not change your place in the que as far as how long it will take to process your order.
And PLEASE check your receipt! I just had a customer order a 7 day candle. When they checked out, they didn't look to see how much they were paying for shipping. They chose Priority Mail EXPRESS. When their receipt was emailed to them the day of purchase, they did not review it and call me. I tried to call them before sending the package out, but they didn't pick up the phone.
So, I had no choice but to pay for the shipping the customer selected so I could get the candle to them as soon as possible. They may have chosen it because of an emergency working they needed to do, so I wanted to make sure they got their product as soon as possible.
Of course as soon as the package has gone to the post office, I received an email from them when they got their shipment notification because the price of shipping was MORE than the candle. Those are the post office's prices. Not mine.
My reply:
"I was alarmed by the shipping cost you paid and tried to reach you by phone when packing your order, but you didn't answer. I have the following questions: Did you not check your purchase amount before you paid? Did you not review the receipt you received via email after you placed the order? You have to read carefully and pay attention while doing anything. Especially magic.
If you'd reviewed your receipt and realized your error when you ordered this nine days ago, you could have called me. I could have then added an oil or two to the order because I am not refunded transaction fees when I refund customers. I cannot do that now because I could not reach you when I called.
Please review your entire order, including the shipping rate and final total before submitting it. I give customers what they want, so I shipped your order.
By the time I received this email, my daughter had already dropped the packages at the post office."
