Every additional serving of ultra-processed food (UPF) raises early mortality risk by 18%! 🚨

🍕 Sugary snacks, fast food, packaged meals—they may be convenient, but they come at a serious cost to long-term health.

🔎 Why it matters:
🥤 More UPF = Higher Risk – Increased rates of obesity, heart disease, and metabolic disorders.
🧬 Nutrient Void – These foods lack essential nutrients while fueling inflammation.
⚖️ Gut & Brain Impact – Disrupts gut microbiome, mood, and cognitive function.
📉 Short-Term Pleasure, Long-Term Consequences – The damage adds up faster than you think.

💡 Small swaps make a big difference! Choose whole, nutrient-dense foods whenever possible for a healthier, longer life. ✅

According to a recent study, forward head position and blood flow to the brain are clinically observable by taking the carotid pulses and can lead to debilitating symptoms within the brain.

The carotid pulses are weaker when the head is in a forward position; however, the carotid pulses are stronger when the head is over the spine.

When the head is forward over the spine, the brain may not receive sufficient blood flow and oxygen due to compression of the carotid arteries. If this compression is severe enough, it can result in cerebral ischemia (CNS dysfunction). Clinically, we see disturbed sleeping patterns, increased anxiety, and mental sluggishness.

The March 2000 Mayo Clinic reported that prolonged FHP also leads to myospasm, disc herniations, arthritis, and pinched nerves all comedich are components of the vertebral subluxation complex

Dr. Alf Breig, a Swedish neurosurgeon and Nobel Prize recipient, describes how the loss of a normal cervical lordotic curve creates dysfunction and disease. Chiropractors have beenn saying that since 1895!!!!

Through cadaver studies, Dr. Breig demonstrated that neck flexion could stretch the spinal cord 5-7 cm causing tensioning of the meninges (covering of the brain and spinal cord) and elicit measurable pressure on brainstem nuclei (nerve control centers) which control all basic life functions. (Breig, Alf. Adverse Mechanical Tension in the Central Nervous System: An Analysis of Cause and Effect. 1978. Almqvuist & Wiksell
International, Stockholm, Sweden. Pg. 177.)

New studies show that correction of cervical lordosis may be associated with an immediate increase in cerebral blood flow.

Chiropractic can assist in helping to restore better structure which in effect can restore better function to the human body.

Here’s a stat that should make you rethink your daily movement: The most active 25% of people had a 73% lower risk of death compared to those who were the least active. That’s not just a small benefit—that’s a game-changer for longevity.

So what does this mean for you? It’s simple: Movement is medicine. You don’t need to be a marathon runner or spend hours in the gym. But consistent activity—whether it’s strength training, walking, cycling, or even daily stretching—can have a profound impact on your lifespan and overall health.

🔥 Here’s why staying active matters:
✅ Boosts longevity – Regular movement keeps your body strong and resilient
🧠 Supports brain health – Exercise improves cognitive function and mental clarity
💪 Protects against chronic disease – Reduces risk of heart disease, diabetes, and more
😴 Enhances recovery & sleep – Active people tend to sleep better and recover faster
⚡ Increases energy & vitality – Movement fuels your body, so you feel your best every day

The best exercise? The one you enjoy and can stick with long-term. Start small, stay consistent, and keep moving—your future self will thank you.

What’s your go-to way to stay active?
