Does your child struggle with making & keeping friends? Do they feel left out? Do they frequently argue with friends or siblings? Is school a struggle? If so, our upcoming social skills groups can help! Participants will develop skills through guided play experiences with similarly aged peers and lessons on topics such as managing feelings, making friends, self-control, and self-confidence. The start of our Kindergarten Camp has been pushed back by a week, and it officially starts THIS SUNDAY! We still have spots available. Give your child a headstart towards success before school starts and give them some extra support during the first few weeks of school. Our group will focus on making new friends, active listening, following social cues, and developing skills to cope with separation anxiety. Our camp lasts for 5 weeks, and meetings will take place from 2:00pm - 4:00pm on Sundays at our counseling office in Rhome. Parents, are you worried about your little one starting kindergarten in a few weeks? Give your child a head start and the confidence boost they need to be ready for success. Our Kindergarten Camp starts July 23rd and will meet each Sunday through August 20th for 2 hours. Participants will work on skills such as coping with missing mom or dad, active listening, making new friends, working as a team, taking turns, and so much more! Each parent will receive individualized feedback for their child with recommendations for making the transition to kindergarten easier. The camp is being hosted by Kimberly Fleischer, a licensed professional counselor, certified school counselor, and certified teacher with over 17 years of experience in Texas public schools.
