☀️This Week at Nature’s Edge! 🛝

Our patients enjoyed playing board games to practice following directions, speech sounds, turn-taking, and communication skills. They also had a blast spending time on the playground and connecting with our wonderful therapy horses. 🐴💚

Incorporating play, movement, and animal interaction into therapy helps keep our patients engaged while creating natural opportunities for communication and confidence-building.

🌼Horse of the Week: Meet Bobbi Jo🌼

"My name is Hawks Nu Mocha To Show, but everyone here calls me Bobbi Jo. I was born on April 28, 2013, and I am a proud registered Pony of the Americas pony.

I have been part of the Nature’s Edge family since 2021, and I’ve loved every minute of helping patients grow stronger, more confident, and more connected. Before coming here, I spent time showing in both western pleasure and english, so I know how to work hard and look good doing it. 🌟

These days, my favorite job is caring for the wonderful patients at Nature’s Edge. My smooth stride, patient heart, and gentle tolerance for both adults and children make me a trusted therapy partner. Whether someone is nervous, excited, or learning something new, I’m always ready to help them succeed. 💙🐴

I’m proud to be part of something special every day. Please help support me and all of my barn friends so we can continue serving others through this mission. We appreciate you so much."

💙 In Loving Memory of Rudy 🐓

Today, with heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved Serama rooster, Rudy, on May 20, 2026. 🐓

Rudy was born on June 15, 2022, and he filled every day with personality, curiosity, and joy. This past winter, Rudy struggled with the cold weather, so he moved into the house where he became an even bigger part of our daily lives and speech therapy sessions.

Our patients absolutely adored Rudy. He was incredibly social, gentle, and always eager to be involved. Whether patients were reading books to him, helping him learn to "play" the piano, or listening to an unexpected cock-a-doodle-doo at just the right moment, Rudy brought smiles, laughter, and comfort to everyone he met.

Rudy had a special way of connecting with children and adults alike. His friendly nature and entertaining personality made him a treasured member of our therapy animal family.

Though our hearts are saddened by his loss, we are deeply grateful for the love and joy he shared with so many patients and families. Rudy will be greatly missed, but the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

💙 Fly high, sweet Rudy. Thank you for the smiles, the music, and the many cheerful crowing moments.

Please help us honor Rudy by sharing a favorite memory or leaving a ❤️ in the comments.

🍬Horse of the Week: Meet Sweetie🍬

"My name is Legacy of Sweetness, but everyone here call me Sweetie. I am a registered American Paint Horse, born on June 26, 2021. I have been at Nature’s Edge since I was only 3½ months old. 🐴

Becky Payne fell in love with me and my sister Sugar as a pair. She believed we would love the mission of Nature’s Edge and someday help many people, and she was right.🌟

I have already started my training and have begun competing locally. I am willing, eager to learn, and excited for everything ahead. Since I am the youngest horse here at Nature’s Edge, my journey is only beginning. Every day I grow stronger, smarter, and more ready to serve.

Please support me and all of my barn friends so we can continue helping patients through this special mission. My job has just begun, and I can’t wait for the future."

💚 Obstacle Course Fun with Leo! 🦙

Our newest un-edited video on ReelTime Animal Rescue, LLC is now live, and it features one of our patients leading our therapy llama, Leo, through an obstacle course during speech therapy. 🦙

As the patient and Leo worked together to navigate each challenge, they practiced problem-solving, communication, planning, patience, and teamwork. Activities like this help build confidence and trust while turning therapy into a fun, meaningful experience.

Leo had a remarkable way of connecting with patients and helping them feel calm, engaged, and successful. We are grateful to have these special videos that preserve the many ways he helped children grow in communication and confidence. 🦙💚✨
