Today we are celebrating Zataria Johnson, one of our Direct Support Professionals in one of our Mental Health Group Homes. She is a quiet young lady, yet her work speaks volumes. She has been an outstanding employee since day one. Zataria is a team player and does not mind filling in where she is needed.

The recent passing of Samantha Okinyi is a heartbreaking reminder of the devastating cycle of domestic violence—an issue that should never be tolerated in our society.

STEPS Madeline's House, in partnership with New Life Church, will be holding a candlelight vigil in honor of Samantha—a young woman whose life, though tragically cut short, touched many and will remain in our hearts.

During her time at Madeline’s House, Samantha showed remarkable strength and resilience. She engaged in services with hope and determination, working tirelessly toward a life free from violence. Her journey was one of courage, and her memory now stands as a powerful testament to the daily struggles faced by so many victims.

We invite you to join us in honoring Samantha’s life and standing in solidarity with all victims of domestic violence.
