✨ Why “Wait Time” Matters! ✨
Kids often need a few extra seconds to process, think, and respond — and giving them that space can make a huge difference.

⏱️ Wait time = pausing 5–10 seconds after asking a question or giving a direction.
This simple strategy builds receptive and expressive language, boosts confidence, and encourages independence in communication.

🤍 Instead of jumping in to finish their thought or answer for them, we give their brains time to do the work — and the results are amazing!

💬 Try it out during play, routines, or everyday moments. You may be surprised by how much more your child has to say when we wait.

These 4 simple strategies can help calm the moment while building connection and confidence:
