Celebrating my 22nd year anniversary of my breast cancer survivorship. Feeling blessed. As a survivor and radiologist specializing in breast imaging, I encourage you to promote early detection, offer support to patients and their families going through treatment, express gratitude to all the healing hands/healthcare workers aiding in diagnosis and treatment of cancer and honor and cherish the memory of those who cancer has taken from us.

I went to a recent conference on ABUS (Automated Breast Ultrasound Screening) as explained in the video on a previous post. This adjuvant screening tool increases cancer detection rates by 55% in patients with dense breast tissue.
I had the privilege of meeting and conferring with the rock star of breast imaging, Dr. László Tabar from Sweden. His pioneering research laid the foundation of early detection through modern mammographic screening.
Spread the good word, early detection saves lives!

At a fabulous conference in LA. Great to reconnect with old friends and colleagues. It is inspiring to be among so many people who are also passionate about the early detection of breast cancer and saving lives.
